Hello all!  I have a question for all the experienced Corgi moms and dads....Story is now 12 weeks old, and we have had her for 3 weeks.  LOVE HER, she is so smart and is learning good habits so quickly!!  Her bedtime is between 10 and 10:30 pm and she sleeps until 6 am.  Her nighttime crate is by my bed, I have only had to get up with her in the middle of the night 2 times since we have had her.  Here is my question, though, around 9 pm she gets really restless.  I think she is sleepy and probably wants to go to bed at that time (when I take her to her crate at night she happily goes right in), but I really would like her to be on the (in general) 10 pm to 6pm routine, because that is the schedule I would like her to be on when I return to work in August.  Her restlessness starts at 9pm, like clockwork!  Sometimes she will hang on the couch and play a bit with the kids but then she gets whiney, or sometimes she will play with her toys in her xpen in the kitchen and she may nap or get whiney.  Last night the teenagers were not home and she would not settle at all, so I took her on a walk down the block at 9 pm, played in the backyard, then played more in the house to keep her occupied until final potty time and bedtime.  Any suggestions for easing her 9pm restlessness?  Thanks!

I would suggest putting her for a nap earlier (maybe 7) for a half hour or so, and then maybe she won't be so tired at 9pm.  Jack would get cranky when he was tired as a puppy, but would never lay down by himself for a nap.

I would put her in her crate at 9PM  until 6AM.  She is telling you what she needs and it is reasonable.  She is only 12 wks.old, so she will naturally have more energy as the weeks go by.  You can gradually extend to 10PM as  you approach August.  This will be a smooth transition.

Thank you for them suggestions! I'll let you all know how it goes ^..^
