Science may set us free from flea baths and flea&tick goo

Once Monthly Pill for Fleas AND TICKS could be on the way.

Oh science, is there anything you can't do for us?
I bet it will be really expensive though.

It would be nice. I hate using these awful poisons on the dogs, but I hate ticks more.
That's what the pill will be too. A poison. Just one they can ingest.
All medicine is poison, at the right dose.
I realize this will be a poison too -- I guess I was unclear, I hate using this stuff in any form, because I assume it's doing some level of harm to the dogs, but the ticks could do far worse. I hate ticks, and I live in an area with epidemic levels of Lyme disease. Bertie has come up positive for it twice, and at a rather low point, I found a tick nestled in my very own bellybutton. I HATE them more than the poison, whether in pill or topical.
A poison to fleas and ticks, but not necessarily the dog.

Chocolate can kill a dog, but when I eat chocolate, I don't think of it as eating poison. Medications that interfere with a parasite's lifecycle are not necessarily toxic to mammals.
True! I just wish ticks would ..... go away. rrrrrr.
Me too! We live in the middle of a Lyme disease hot zone. Jack's on Advantix and I've never seen a tick on him, but I have putting the stuff on him because it's toxic to cats and we have one. I wash like crazy every time I pet the dog for two days or so after application. The vet says it won't transmit to the cat just by petting, but still....
