Shout out....JR Testing

Dear all....Been having to post more than usual lately but just hoping for some good positive prayer our way. After losing AJ just 3 weeks ago we are set to go to Auburn tomorow for a 1:30 appointment for our JR baby. Our vet believes that JR is having some back/disc problems which is causing some rear leg weakness. We are praying for a "fixable" issue and quick recovery. We have heard from our sr. vet specialist tonight and know that tomorrow will be a day for his exam and Tuesday for further diagnostics......Thanks MyCorgi lovers you are the best! ^,,^

I'm sure you have done your research regarding the vets at Auburn. If AJ is to have surgery, make sure that you know exactly who is doing the procedure and make it clear that you want to be notified if there are any changes in the doctors. Ten yrs ago, one of my dogs needed surgery for a cancerous tumor in her nasal cavity. The head of the oncology department was scheduled to do the surgery. Great, right? He was a member of all the crucial veternary boards, very qualified to perform the surgery. However, due to a last minute conflict, a veterinary intern performed the surgery instead. The intern messed up and my dog died. I was never notified about the change in doctor. Not the night before, not the day of, nada. Had I been informed, I would have rescheduled the procedure.

While this is something everyone should always be aware of, it is extremely important at teaching universities. Always know who is doing the procedure and always request to be notified of ANY changes.
