Hey everyone.  I was wondering if being sneaky or spiteful was a common corgi trait.  Our Corgi, Chester is very funny.  I let him on the couch, but my father and mother don't.  So if I'm just home, he'l jump up on the couch with me sometimes.  But as soon as he hears my dad come home, he leaps off the couch.  He also goes on the nice upstairs couches while everyone is gone, and jumps off when we get home (we catch him because we see his pawprints on the suede haha).  It's pretty funny how he does this even though he knows he's not allowed to.

Our old Corgi, Roxy had a very bold personality.  She also had a very jealous personality.  One Christmas, my aunt had the new baby here, which received mostly all of the attention.  Apparently this made Roxy angry, especially at me.  I let my aunt and uncle stay in my room (where Roxy usually stayed too) and I slept on the basement couch.  I was awoken in the morning by Roxy jumping on the couch.  I thought she wanted to sleep on the couch with me.  I thought wrong, she jumped on the couch, peed on it, and jumped off and went back upstairs and layed down again.  I was dumbfounded.  She was very well trained, and rarely even had accidents in the house.  I am convinced she did that out of spite!

Once in a while she used to throw her food all over the kitchen too.  We still don't know why.

Does anyone else have corgi/corgis who are sneaky/spiteful?

My baby is so jealous!  Do not touch her without her initiating bc she will run away.  As soon as I'm hugging my fiance, talking to another dog, or giving attention to ANYONE/THING else, she will be right there demanding I pet her - whining and barking.

Ginger is very sneaky.  Usually she sounds like a heard of elephants running through the house, but she can be very stealthy when she's trying to get away with something.  Her latest thing is going upstairs.  She knows she's not allowed upstairs without me or my husband.  When she goes up with us she takes the stairs 2 at a time and makes it sound like the house is crashing down.  Lately she's been sneaking up them.  She'll quietly go 1 stair at a time until she's just out of view and then she takes off like a shot.  We then have to run after her and get her to turn around and come back down.  She's very sneaky when she's chewing on something she's not supposed to as well.  When we give her treats or she has her Nylabone she flips it around and plays with it before laying down to chew.  If she has something she knows she's not supposed to she tiptoes underneath the dining room table.

She hasn't realy done anything spiteful, but our non-corgi can be very spiteful.  Everytime we buy Ginger a new dog bed, Coko will go pee on it.  She never pees on her own bed.  It drives me crazy!
