Hi all,
Our 5 month old corgi girl is still eating her poop (GROSS!). We have tried correcting, Nasty Habit pills, someone recommended pineapple (didn't work), meat tenderizer and some other home remedies. We really need the cure all...so who has the way to get her to stop. She also eats goose poop at the park (very fast to get those).

Thanks for the help!

What kind of food are you feeding her? Some believe dogs do that because they aren't getting enough nutrition in their dog food.
If you let her loose in a backyard, you may have to put her on a leash and as soon as she has done her business, pull her away and scoop up the mess.
That's the only suggestion I have. I was lucky, Duncan never did that to his own. But, he sure like the tootsie rolls the kitties would leave for him. Luckily, that was an easy fix, just move their box upstairs out of his reach.
Hi Lou Ann,
only eats poop when she poops in the house (on her pad when we're at work). She doesn't even look at it when it's outside. Feedering her Eukanuba large breed puppy food, as recommended by the breeder.

And yes, she loves the litter box too, but she is starting to understand that will lead to correction.
A good trainer told me that if I ever have that problem to feed small amounts of pineapple in Maggie's food. The pineapple is good going down but the way it is digested by the stomach turns it into very fowl tasting when it comes out so they won't touch their poo. I have never had problems with Maggie and I give her 1 piece of pineapple everyday. Hope that helps.
You can stop using the pad, it just prolong the trainning time. Crate train her, this will train her to physically to hold, not to soil herself...etc. Get a crate and sub-divid the place so that it is only large enough for her to turn around. Good luck, you have 4-7 months to go.
