Where did you all Tampa Bay area friends get your puppy from? I am in search of one and it seems no one has any available, I'd have to wait until March or April for a litter to be born

I purchased my Corgi from a breeder in Pennsylvania. I purchased Maya in Dec. 2012. Last time I looked there were more puppies for sale. Here is the link to the web site where I found Maya. http://www.lancasterpuppies.com/puppies-for-sale/welsh-corgi-pembroke There are some puppies for sale in Ohio also. They do ship their puppies also. I purchased Maya out of PA because I can not seem to locate any breeders in Louisianan at the time, and I had a hunting trip planned in PA.

Hi Tran, if you contact Sam Bates of SCR, she will be able to tell you who to stay away from. We've been picking up pieces from bad breeders for years, including irresponsible breeders who's been shut down and reopen, poor breeding stock that ends up in the shelter, also bad breeders who posed as fake rescues to get rid of their old / sick stock...etc.

Contact Grace Carter of SPWCC for a list referal.

As far as personal referrals goes, I have two suggestions that I'm willing to stick my neck out for:

Larry McClure

TIM TAM
timtampwc@aol.com
Wildwood, FL

Deborah Shindle

RIVERSIDE
deb@riversidepwc.com
www.riversidepwc.com
Vero Beach, FL

Top PWC breeders hands down.

Thanks Sam! I am very familiar with those two breeders' names because I have been contacting just about everyone on the SPWCC list. I haven't heard back from Larry though :( I tried calling but he has no voicemail box available and I haven't gotten a return email.

I've also been emailing back and forth with Deb but she says she might have a littler born early April. I was hoping to get something sooner, but if I can't get one, I'll definitely wait for Deb!

I appreciate the reply!

You're welcome Tran. It is a treat to give Larry visit, I've met his crew many times at the annual Florida picnic, nice crew.

You will not regret waiting for Deb, good things comes to those who wait.

If you get to know them and meet their corgis, you'll immediately know the difference. Good luck!

Deb's kennel, Riverside, is AMAZING. Like, really. I would easily wait a year just to have a puppy from her if I were wanting a Pem (and she does Cardis as well, so who knows!). I know that you'd like to get your new friend soon, but trust me, if you wait like Sam says, you will not regret your decision in the least. Her dogs are beautiful, well taken care of, and just as amazing on the inside as the outside. :-)

Thanks Ludi! I will highly consider!!! Do you know what the price is for her puppies? Pembroke, it seems to take her a little while to get back to me, i know she's probably really busy!

Anyone had any experience with the breeder Shelly Libberton?

10 years ago price was between 1K-2K, depending on pet / show pups. Deb is a high school teacher, you can imagine how busy she can be :)

If it's been one-two weeks since you sent her a mail, I'd call. That's the only way I could get in touch with Ace's breeder sometimes, as she is an RN, raises livestock, and also shows horses!
