Walking too fast after eating

I fed Lance and shortly after took him out on a walk. We walked for about 30 minutes along a trail which happens to be off of a busy street. All of a sudden Lance threw up, which looked mostly to be of his food, still whole. He threw up again as soon as I cleaned up the first mess on the black pavement. He did this three more times!!! Im thinking that it must of been his breakfast and lunch that he threw up since it was sooo much. I also noticed some phlegm I believe. Poor guy looked so sad, and of all places along a busy road during rush hour traffic. He laid down to take a rest, so I let him rest but within a minute or two I asked him if he wanted to take a walk, as he looked like he was quite comfy just laying there! He got up and started walking no problem and wasnt moping along, he kept a good pace.

Im hoping that it was just my mistake of taking him for a walk too quickly after he ate? What are your thoughts?

Oh yeah, and on our way back home after he got sick, we past his buddy Baileys house and Lance still seemed interested in wanting to go over and play!!

I think you may be on the right track in that maybe your walk shortly after his feeding was a little too soon for him. I can imagine if I were to eat dinner and then go for a brisk walk or run I'd have an upset tummy myself even though the intentions were good. Does he usually get really excited for his walks as well? It could be a combination between the two? Was it really hot in your area? If it were me I wouldn't worry too much if those seem to be the only culprits and he kept a good pace towards the end of your walk. I'm sure it was just too soon. I hope he's doing better!

I wouldn't worry, I had this happen to teddy a few times. I would either walk him to early or he would be playing to hard and he would get sick and looked just like that. I'm glad is ok. Poor guy was probly alittle embaressed but at least he's not really sick:)
