I have a dilemma friends.  Hopefully you can help me sometime in the near future.  As you know, my husbands grandparents live on a ranch in Kansas.  I have been here for the past two weeks, helping his grandma and mom, as his grandpa was sick and unexpectedly died.  I always bring Seanna with us, as she loves the cows here, and I can't stand being away from her.  She is the only dog, and I mean ONLY dog, that his grandma has ever let into her house.

The past two weeks Seanna has warmed her way into my grandma's heart even more than usual.  She has been great therapy for us all, during all the sadness.  She has licked away our tears, and has latched onto whoever is the saddest that day.  Last night she slept with grandma all night.  (We buried Andy yesterday).

His grandma asked us if we would leave her here with her, and I seriously considered it.  My kids say no way, and my husband too.  I would like to find an older, laid back, loving corgi for her.  If you guys know of any, could you please let me know?  I am going to search rescue groups too, but you guys usually come through first!  Thanks!

Awesome!!  Thank you Sam!!
The lady who started National Mill Dog Rescue in Colorado Springs, Theresa Strader, is a personal friend.  Tell your story and they'll try to match you up with the right dog.  Good luck

Where in Kansas are you? There's a very nice rescue in MO also.

If I could part with Wiley she would love all the attention of being an only dog but she's another heart dog....I guess they all are!

I have am fostering two Corgi puppies from WY Corgi and Daschund Rescue. I know they have a couple of others too. These are all a bit younger at the 5/6 month mark. They are able to generally arrange cross country transport. Call Linda at 307 322 8158 and she will let you know the details. I don't think that they have any older dogs at the moment but they do get waves of them periodically.

I was just on FB an there advertised was Dylan, a red and white corgi in KS rescue ready for adoption.
