A yr ago when i got my carly, i thought that alone was a miracle with my husband . Dogs in the house under feet..were not his thing, well his heart has changed and were adding # 2 . next week!!
The problems we had with other dogs were all minor but we knew nothing about the crate and its ability to help house train these little fur babies. Im so excited but nervous about what our female will do, she is a strong willed bossy type and hopefully will appreciate having a brother..hahaha
Like it or not he's almost the plane, and will be entering our lives next Sunday.
Its time to brush up on my training skills and get ready to lose some sleep, if little guy needs to go potty in the middle of the night. Carly was easy to house train but every other issue has been a struggle she was a mouthy little one and still has to be told repeatedly no teeth. The obedience has gotten better but still a work in progress, i know having two will complicate it somewhat. The walking on leash has improved as well.. as i said she is a bossy strong willed female and i had to learn that i have to be bossier and stronger willed . haha
i appreciate of of you who have helped me in this learning progress..

yep, they are like chips.. you can't have just one!
our female is definitely 'alpha' one minute she is cleaning Caseys face, the next she is on top of him, scolding him! never a dull moment...
YES!!! thats my boy... thanks Wendy... your awesome!
I guess Frankie will be famous, haha..
The downside is that the Corgi Mind Control Stare is enhanced with one blue eye, so you will be even more effectively enslaved than the rest of us, and you will either have to photograph with ambient light (fairly easy), or get really good at PhotShopping a black dot upon the redye, with a matching with spot to simulate reflection (I posted instructions in 'Corgi Photographers').

I miss my oldfashioned 35mm film Olympus OM1 with the bulky flash unit that put the flash far enough away fromt he lens that it never produced redeye flash photos.
OTOH, you'll get fantastical flash photos of him. He'll look like the Star Trek Borg or something, and you'll automatically do whatever he wants.
Unfortunately, I suppose that right ear is gonna come up, huh?
We went through the same thing. The 2nd corgi is not really much extra work, and they are good for each other.
Al learned a LOT from just imitating Gwynnie. But you might want to make sure Frankie gets individual attention. Al puppy perhaps did not get enough solo time without Gwynnie present, and there could be a downside to that.
@John your so funny ...i appreciate the advice! The problem with me and photo shop is... i am clueless... hopefully my hubby will assist in the red eye issue...lol
I like what you said about the 2nd corgi not being much work , that sounds very appealing to me considering lol
As for him getting one on one, im taking him with me to work four days a week, i will be training him the rules of potting out side , playing with him (lots of this)..., and teaching him the art of hair care for the first few months ..Of course he'll be subject to many other women and men loving on him and googooing all over his blue eye and other wonderful body parts!! My clients and coworkers can hardly wait..oh but there's the issue, that if state inspector comes by i can get a fine of $500.00 because animals aren't allowed in beauty shops..What ever! So this is all on the down low..*We have a extra rm next to me ill put him, when im actually working on some body.
Hopefully i can get some hair done, otherwise ill just have to retire .. Which right around the corner for me anyway ..
Can you tell im already enslaved?
As for his ear, ya he looks awesome with that eye and ear.. hes saying " LOOK at me People"!!
love it!
