My little Harley visited with her trainer today and she told me that Harley is very bossy. She does this back talk thing with her voice too. She is also incredibly headstrong. More than usual. She is definitely a dominate female. The trainer taught me a technique where I roll her on her back and gently but firmly hold her chest until she submits and then praise the heck out of her. It seems to work to control her attitude and nipping. Harley is now 10 weeks old going on 5 years. lol I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and I also wanted to share this technique with everyone. It works for all doggies.

Me, me, me! :) Gracie is 15 weeks old today. She has been dominant and headstrong from day one! She is getting better each week. She tries to push our buttons sometimes to see what she can get away with. We just have to be firm with our dominate pups! She will do bad things sometimes to just get attention. I've been trying to exercise her more and work on socialization. She is enrolled in a puppy class and she is coming a long way. I hope to add a male puppy in another year so it will be interesting to see how she is with it. My husband will do that technique with Gracie sometimes. She is more pushy with me though. I know how these bossy women Corgis can be! :)
ggrrrrr yes my boy who is now 19 weeks was like this! I have used this technique many times ! it is wonderful!
