Sarah your situation is unfortunate as Toby is still too young at 7 weeks to be away from his mother and littermates. Valuable teaching did not occur that should have. Patience and then more patience is going to be required for him. Reputable breeders don't let their pups go before 8 weeks and usually it is 10 weeks. I switched both Randy (18 weeks) and Leo 11 months to adult food last month. They are both doing fine. I will try the Petsmart website for Blue. We don't have a Petsmart near here so will still have to ship it.

i have read somewhere that a corgi should go on adult food sooner then other breeds. Is this true? and at what age are you folks switching?

When do you plan on switching from puppy to adult food? Sadie just turned 6 months old.

We also feed Sadie Blue Buffalo and we get it at our Petsmart; in Sacramento it is abou $3-$5 cheaper (depending on the size) then Petco!

Sarah, if he isn't crate trained, work on that - it helps. We gave our guy a lot of play and exercise, so he was tired out. Lots of those sinewy chews were also good for all the chewing. They like those little cone things that you can put peanut butter in and they lick it. We put that in the crate with him, especially if we had to leave him. If he got whiney, we put a towel over the crate. Also start on the training - it helps stimulate their minds.

Yes the brand is Blue Buffalo. I get it online through Petco...it has to ship from California and takes a week. No stores around here carry it, by that I mean the whole state of Wyoming.

there are lots of discussions in forums about foods. I feed the boys Blue Buffalo Chicken and Brown Rice food (adult formula but also fed puppy formula). They started out on Purina Puppy Chow but I switched because of all the fillers in Purina food. There are so many brands out there it is hard to chose and money does matter to most of us. The Blue food takes less and they have less waste so I think it is a good food. My advice is to study up and decide what is best for your animals.
