Harry went to the vet yesterday and he is now 9.6 pounds. he's really growing out of his baby face look : ( ... but still adorable. ah, they grow up so fast...*sigh*

As a nurse a "people nurse" it is not uncommon for most of the sutures to be on the inside. If she closes all the layers of tissue individually from the inside out you should have a stronger closure. That will also require smaller and fewer stitches on the outside, limiting scaring and minimizing the potential for opening the wound while healing. Make sure she gives antibiotics after the procedure!

Well we took Sami to the vet Sunday for her next set of shots. Vet said she is looking great! Our scales must be off her at home because we thought she was tipping the scales at 11.5 lbs. but at the vets she was 9.9 lbs. at almost 12 weeks. We talked about spaying and our vet said something about how she likes to put the majority of stitches on the inside so that they are not so itchy and they can get to them. Has anyone else heard of this or experienced it?

Penny was born January 29th 2009 and is growing like a WEED in the month that we've had her. Makes me a little sad...but I'm excited to see how she grows up.

Sadie saw the vet at 14 weeks and was a little bit over 8lbs..what a little girl!!

Hi all! Our puppy was born 3/29/09, we will be bringing him home 5/30/09, at 10 weeks. Our litter has 5 boys in it, we are second on the deposit list and we will be going to pick our future "Stewie" on 5/16/09. We are so excited!!

Hi I'm Quila as in teQUILA!

I was born on Friday the 13th of March, 2009. I'm the runt of 7 in my litter. I was born in Farmington, New Mexico however I live with my newly adopted daddy in Albuquerque, New Mexico (hi Sami! Good to see another pup in the Buque!).

@ 8 weeks I'm only 5lbs!
