Haha, doubt it would interfere. At least when he got older. Right now he's still a pup and he just wants the treat, lol.

To Debra; When you bring in the non compliant pup, stick her in a crate (be sure she only has enough room to turn and all that stuff) if she has not done her thing outside! Give her fifteen minutes in the crate then take her back out, and us your happy voice! "go pee" if a success, give her a treat and uber loves. if not , go back to crate with minimal touch and no happy voice! after a few times she will see that her tinkling outside makes you happy and she ges a treat! biit will take a bit of time but she will get it!... My Walk pulled this one on me! The lil stink! now he is fully potty trained! hope I helped!

Let me borrow Walker sis, Rea went through the obsessive must have treat phase.. Now she'll just do any trick you ask her, albiet very excitedly, and sometimes jumping the gun on tricks. But she's ready to please and can be calmed down now. I could have some fun trying to teach your dog something. :)

I hope you guys can help me.... My Bella had a her first litter in October... I have 2 puppies left and I am trying to potty train them!! and it has been quite frustrating with the 2 of them! One of the girls is catching on quite well, the other has no clue and no intrest! I have tried putting them out together and they just play. I have tried taking them out one at a time and the one that's not getting it just sits there!! then does her buisness when I bring her in!!! Anyone have any suggestions!!!

ugh! So Walker is bein a pain in my tush! When I am workin with him on or off lead I dont tend to use treats, but my trainer thinks treats are the key, so we have been tryin them some.... I swear they are ruining him!! he gets all mouthy (puts mouth all over my hand) and jumps and acts like a spazzmosa. So I am think of killing the treats all together. but then I loose eye contact with him cause he does not like to "watch me"! I am so confused!!! also, I have been teaching him some fun lil tricks, which I think is slowing his regular progress down! So I am torn, what are your all thoughts! Can you have a dog who you want to put in conformation also be a mister dandy do tricks, and how do I beat the psycho obsession for the treat in my hand! (thats all he wants, and wont listen to a single command)

I've read somewhere that massage can be effective! I'd definitely try that!!
