Hi. I'm new member, Kate.
Hello Everyone!
Daisie comes home tomorrow. It was recommended that she meet 20 dogs and 100 people in the next 4 weeks - however, being a puppy, she isn't fully vaccinated. The trainer suggested looking for nice, fully vaccinated dogs to have playdates with. Anyone interested in a puppy playdate?
Agnes, I am picking Daisie up on Saturday from Bev Mills AKA Clearwater Corgis in Waddell, AZ. I also know that another breeder, Micki Sharp from Shennara Kennels is getting a puppy from her as well.
Like Patricia, I got my Ein girl from Corgi Corral in Whittman. I think Lindsay (the breeder) is great. I keep in contact with her via e-mails, and she loves getting updates on her puppies. She puts a lot of love and care into each litter of pups she produces. I highly recommend her... and it doesn't hurt that her pups are sooooo adorable! I mean seriously, how could I not fall in love with this face?
Agnes, the official breed standard calls for: "Tail-Docked as short as possible without being indented." Some breeders may leave a bit of a nubbie, but not much, as the lack of a tail is one of the trademark points of a Pembroke. It's only actually important if the dog is going to be shown in conformation competition, though. Outside the USA many countries now ban the docking of tails so it's getting more common to see on-line, Pembrokes that still have their tail. And some folks that have Pembrokes with nubs enjoy very much seeing the vestigial wagging of the nubbie. :-)
