Bartok or Radar were are boy name choices. Bartok was the bat in the movie Anastasia that had the adorable large ears. Radar too is an ear name.

We threw around Muggle and Dobi from Harry Potter.

I had many names picked out until I met my puppy then it was a whole different ball game after I got to see her personality. A welsh name tho would be really cute. I like your ideas:) Its fun to think of different names. I originally wanted recess and I had another corgi puppy I was selling so I went to recess and the other corgi named pieces until we sold her. Then I met the puppies and neither really fit those names. I love christain names too. My kids are running all over the house saying grace, grace grace! Its perfect!

I'm not really familiar with Dragonball but you certainly wouldn't want a name that reminds you of something you don't like. :)

I like the name Griffin. When my fiance's Dad got his tri collor Pem I suggested that name. He totally looked like a Griffin but they went with Sammy instead. I love the name Rowan! I've used that name a couple times for different things like charactors in a game.

You should just get a baby name book and flip through it until you find one you like. As you said, there's no rush. :)

Hmm, yeah it does kind of remind me of a girl's name. :P I've never read the book or seen the movie so I don't know... Calling him Pan would make me think of Dragonball GT. Man I'm too picky. Oh well, I'll think of something. We all know I have plenty of time.

Here were some other names I wrote down a while ago:

Griffith (fierce, strong warrior), Griffin (strong in faith), Vonn (small), Rowan (red)

But I don't really like all of those as much as I should either..

I like the idea of Lewy for short but the full name kind of makes me think of the girls name Lou Ellen. :)

Here's a good one, Pantalaimon (Pan-ta-lymon). It is from the book The Golden Compass. I don't know if you are familiar with it (great story) but I think it's a great name and you could call him Pan (like the mythical God) for short. The name Pantalaimon means merciful shepherd.

Hmm... I don't know.. How about Llewelyn? It looks hard to pronounce but it's just like "Loo-a-lin" I think. Lew or Lewy for short. It's a Welsh name meaning leader or lion-like. I have a feeling my husband won't like it.. Lol. :/

I watched that too when I was little. :) That's the first I had heard if LOTR. I'm not a giant fan either but I do enjoy the story and I like some of the names.

What about a Welsh name like:

Heddwyn - Friend of peace and blessings
or
Mabon - Son

Something a little easier for your husband to pronounce. :)

I do like Lord of the Rings and one of those names would be cute, but I'm not a big enough fan... Actually, when I was little, I had a stuffed "glow lion" doll with a hard plastic head that lit up, and his hair was really curly like a hobbit so I named him Bilbo Bobbins, lol. I thought the character's name was Bobbins at that time, not Baggins. I was like 5 or 6 and I watched that animated Hobbit all the time.

Not sure why it says "delete comment" before my last comment...
just ignore that part. :)

Delete Comment Are you a Lord of the Rings Fan? Being that Corgis are short like Hobits, I thought it would be cute to give him a Hobit name like Bilbo, Frodo or Pippin.

It's funny what a big deal we make out of choosing a name for our pets. I had Finnigan's name picked out years before we got him. :)
