Holly is black brindle. We went to visit Frodo in Western Australia, he is a cute black & white cardigan with brindle points. How appropriate to name these little guys after the Hobbits:-)

Petra - funny coincidence, my quasi-sister named her brindle half-corgi (brother to my corgwn) 'Samwise'.

Bilbo looks like he's going to be a stunner.

This is our latest brindle that we kept from our litter "Lord of the Rings" . Fromax Bilbo Bagger was born on November 2nd, 2008.

My previous brindles changed throughout their lifetime (16 years), even as white hair crept into their coats as they aged. Figg is almost a year old now and I noticed this weekend that she had added a little red to her saddle area. As for the thickness of the fur, some of my corgis, like Figg, have had thick undercoats and have that "lion look" when their collars are on, and others, like Newton, have been more smooth coated, regardless of age. Warhol's coat looks a lot like Newton's (right down to the wave along the spine) and they do have the same father, so I would guess his coat isn't going to get much thicker.

How long did you guys notice changes in your corgi's bringle into adulthood? Warhol is 7 months old now, and i'm curious if he may lighten up anymore, or if he is about done. He is not as fluffy as most corgis are, but i guess that thickness will come along with maturing, right? :)

Le-Le is like Wilf with just a few brindle points. Makes her black have a very pretty color. I agree that the cardigans are so interesting with the various colors they come in.

Merry Christmas to all of you!

"Merry" is one of our brindle point puppies - 4 weeks old in the picture, 7 weeks old now.

Hi Lorraine

The correct name for the colour of your Cardi is called a brindle point. This is another of the many colours that the cardi's can come in and is quite different to the black (like mine and Liezl's) or the red brindle. Welcome to the Group!!!

Yes, having brindle on his shoulders and hind legs means he has brindle points and that absolutely counts so welcome to you both! That's the joy of brindles - no two look alike or have the same colouring and that's why I love them.

Hi Wilf is mainly black and white but he does have brindle on his shoulders and hind legs, does he count?
