Is anyone else aware that under Virginia law it is legal to murder your dog with no waiting period if the owner can't be immediately located.  This happened to an elderly Corgi whose escape was not noticed by his people.  According to published news reports he was turned into Crosspointe Animal Hospital, Fairfax Station, VA (Prince William Co.) and killed in less than 3 hrs.  Here's the link to the report.  http://dogblog.dogster.com/2011/11/15/old-dog-euthanized-within-3-hours-of-going-missing/

We need to protest the murder of this corgi.  What can we do to get the law changed?  This could be your corgi or mine next time!

Would anyone be interested in doing a meetup at the Shirlington Dog Park in Alexandria VA sometime?

It is. The first time we all got togeather it was at the beach. We just let them run and play. Best show ever.

actually that sounds like a lot of fun! and it would be nice to get our daughter exposed to corgis. she has only really been around either big dogs, or little itty bitty dogs. and i know corgis are a big dog trapped in a little body =)

Hello Candice. There are loads of Corgi owners in VA Beach. If you are feeling up to it you are more then invited to the Corgis of Virginia Beach Meet-up at Oak Grove Lake in Chesapeake on Sunday the 20th at noon. You can talk to some corgi owners and see first hand what you just signed up for :)

husband and i are anxiously awaiting our lil man "tank",he is only two weeks old, in the meantime i am looking to "make friends" with other corgi owners in the area so i have an avenue to go to for advice. he is our first corgi. and have really wanted one for several years. and would like to be able to have other corgi pals for our lil man to hang out with.
