Just wondering if there are any Corgi meet-up groups that are active in the Richmond, VA area. Sammie and Merry are both ll years old now, but still have plenty of get-up and go in them. They would love to have some corgi friends that are nto too far from home.
Just found this on craigslist in norfolk virginia... Corgi to a good home

Corgis are gathering again. Come play and RSVP.
Is anyone else aware that under Virginia law it is legal to murder your dog with no waiting period if the owner can't be immediately located. This happened to an elderly Corgi whose escape was not noticed by his people. According to published news reports he was turned into Crosspointe Animal Hospital, Fairfax Station, VA (Prince William Co.) and killed in less than 3 hrs. Here's the link to the report. http://dogblog.dogster.com/2011/11/15/old-dog-euthanized-within-3-hours-of-going-missing/
We need to protest the murder of this corgi. What can we do to get the law changed? This could be your corgi or mine next time!
Corgis of Virginia Beach are meeting in Oak Grove Lake Park in Chesapeake. Visit http://www.mycorgi.com/events/virginia-beach-corgis-second-meet-up to rsvpand to get ore information.
actually that sounds like a lot of fun! and it would be nice to get our daughter exposed to corgis. she has only really been around either big dogs, or little itty bitty dogs. and i know corgis are a big dog trapped in a little body =)
husband and i are anxiously awaiting our lil man "tank",he is only two weeks old, in the meantime i am looking to "make friends" with other corgi owners in the area so i have an avenue to go to for advice. he is our first corgi. and have really wanted one for several years. and would like to be able to have other corgi pals for our lil man to hang out with.
