Hi fellow VA Corgi folks! I just found this on MyCorgi, didn't notice it before...I have two Corgis currently, both were rescued...Katie (the mama) had been attacked by something big and the owner didn't care for the wounds to her back and hauches, they became infected (and with maggots...ick) and when she was VERY sick he finally took her to a vet and then went to Corgirescue which I am thankful for. She is perfectly healthy now, just very shy. Her son Jack came along with her (I wouldn't have it any other way!)..she is 4, he is 2....he is a ham and a mischeive maker as all corgis should be. I recently lost my 10 year old Emma Anne to DM, she is our angel now:(
I am in the Lynchburg area and would love to meet some others around here! I read below about promoting the dog park here...bummer...we came in second, but it has stirred up more interest in it so maybe enought donations will make it possible.
I sort of have my own dog park tho...we live on a farm and have a huge fenced in back yard and often the chickens roam back there making perfect Corgi herding grounds!
Hope to hear from someone (or two..) local soon! Take care in the hurricane!
Best Corgi wishes, Nancy, Katie, Jack and angel Emma
I would like to come!!!! Will probably just bring Maggie.

We are going away that weekend, but I'm sure you all will have fun. We'll catch you another time. We just saw a 3-month Pembroke at the Chesapeake Dog Park the other day and he was adorable!!! Next time I see them, I'll convince them to join this site.
Sadie and I would love to participate in the Va Beach get-together.
