You are welcome. Do you live in Montreal? We also have two corgis...alot of fun! :) Welcome to my corgi!

Again, thanks for the referral to Dr Foote, Caryn. Just wish surgery was not on the top of our list for Mickey..he is too young for this ! If anyone struggles with their vet, this guy is great! :)

it is very interesting especially coming from a vet!

Thanks!

Well it all depends on the situation and living conditions. For rabies he said every three to four years (if you are in the country more he would consider uping that amount) As for the other ones, he said no more. He said he would rather treat whatever they got with antibiotics if it were to ever happen... which it rarely does. Its all a matter of opinion though. I have always questioned vaccinations so it was interesting to hear that he had those thoughts.

What about the vaccination, we don't have to do them ever? or not every year???

Nic went to Dr Foote (I had class) and loved him!!! Unfortunately Mickey may have a torn ligament and we have to begin the process of looking into surgery :( We have to limit exercise and begin our research. Hopefully we can figure something out. I have to start to look at our options. This is basically the worst case scenario. I was really hoping he would say something different but ...c'est la vie eh? Thanks for the recommendation Caryn. The vet told Nic alot of good info about vaccinations (basically we dont have to do them!) and said its great we are feeding Origin! He was happy to see a slim corgi too :)

PS: Glad Mia is feeling better Viola! :)

We like our vet but I am not 100% comfortable with him so we are also on the hunt for a new vet. Caryn had recommended a really good vet that she uses so we may try there! Keep us updated on Mia, she will be fine :) It is so stressful and not pleasant either but she will get over it!

it sounds like you found a great vet. So relieved that Mia is improving.

Well we went for her last shots so yes she was checked, everything was fine... we left the stool sample with the vet and they called us 2 or 3 days later to say that everything was ok..

Yes 60$ is a way too much... In any case I'm not very fond of the clinic, I feel like they're always trying to sell stuff... I spoke to a vet from the clinic on Sherbrooke, and she was so nice and helpful, and the only one who told me not to be alarmed. My friend brings her chihuahua there, she says it's one of the best clinics in Montreal, they NEVER try to sell you something you don't need, they don't over charge, and they actualy care about the dogs they are treating. Just to give an example, when the vet was telling me about changing the food, she didn't even try to sell their own vet food, unlike all the rest who right away told me "oh well we have this food it's really good for them..." and vet food has grain in it and many other bad ingredients
