Fair Oaks Park (off hazel near phoenix) has some nice open space grass.
There's a park in Folsom too that's grassy but the overall acerage isn't all that large -- about 1/2 the size of Granite whereas Phoenix Park in Fair Oaks is fairly large.
Downtown there's Sutter Landing off C/28th but it doesn't have grass - -crushed granite and not a lot of shade.
There's also a grassy park off Del Paso in Natomas -- lots of grass, decent space but zero shade to be honest.
What are some parks you guys recommend for the next meetup? We went to Granite park last time, and there were a lot of burrs in the little dog section.
I agree with Rebecca! Coby and I couldn't attend on Saturday because he was getting his big boy 16 weeks old shots a few hours after the meetup. =/ He and I will definitely be there for the next time though! =)
we should defiantly have another meet up soon! i wasnt able to go last weekend :(
Thanks, Sarah! I'm excited!
Hey Rosi, ANY and ALL dogs are welcome to come to the meet-up on Saturday! More the merrier!
OMG!!! We're so excited about the meetup this weekend! We've never been to a Meet-up before...and especially not one as wonderful as a Corgi meet up! But I have a question. We have a second dog who is a Chihuahua/Maltese mix & I was wondering if he can tag along or if we should find him a doggy-sitter? Either way, we'll go, but just wondering what the "proper" etiquette would be. I only have one human child, so I never had to worry about stuff like this when she was invited to a birthday party or anything! hee hee :P
