Tri colored Pembrokes

if you have a tri colored Pembroke Welsh Corgi, join us!
  • Carol Powers

Hi; can we join even if one of us has passed away? : ) Yardley has moved into the realm of virtual tri color these days.
  • Carol Powers

Look at these 2 boys, they look so much alike!
  • Jin & Culver

    Tri Colors Rock!!! :)
  • Carol Rea

We have 2 tris, but even a vet told me that one of them can't be a tri because only his face has the 3 colors! Lot of misinformation out there. I loved our red and white, but the tris have more personality.
  • Marsha and Sophie

Meet Sophie, my sweet tri pem, 12 weeks old.

  • Anne Pinkerton

    Yay for tri-colors!
  • Karen & David Roth

OMG, yes!!! We just joined this group because we were so happy to see other Tris!! Amos' tail wasn't docked, so that makes him even more unusual to people who've only seen the Queen's version of Pems. Most people think he's a German Shepherd-Corgi mix because of the tail and no white on his nose. We do get tired of the "yes, he's really a Corgi..." conversation. Amos' vet says, "Yeah, and I don't look like Brad Pitt, either, but that doesn't mean I'm not a member of the same breed!" Ah, to be among others who understand.....
  • Betts

Here's my Ffionn. He arrives next Saturday. He'll be my first tri.
  • Molly and Isabella

    Oh Betts! He's adorable!!
  • Molly and Isabella

I love the uniqueness of tris! Isabella is a fluffy, to boot! We recently lost out 10 year old German Shepherd and I've always thought tris do kind of resemble them. ;o)
  • Betts

Thanks Molly (and adorable Isabella). I thought he was the cutest one in the litter, but really resisted picking him because I didn't want to pick based on looks. So, I played with all the puppies, trying to pick one that was the most interactive and had the best personality. I held Ffionn on his back to see what he would do and he leaned forward and touched his nose to mine. That was it. I didn't care if he was the cutest or the least cute in the bunch. I was sold.
  • Lisa & Tia

Glad to join the group. We have only seen a couple tri colored corgi's in our area. Everyone loves her coloring and thinks she is beautiful. She loves all the attention too. She seems to love adults, but could care less about kids. Have you noticed this with yours?
  • Karen & David Roth

Lisa/Tia: Amos is picky about who he likes. He's polite to everyone, but only certain people (adults or children) get his full enthusiasm. We've found that generally kids seem to have no clue about how to approach a dog in a mannerly way and I think many dogs just get tired of being smacked around under the guise of being "petted". (We guard Amos zealously from such kids, but many dogparents don't.)
  • GALE FARRELL

I LOVE THE LOOK OF MY TRI COLORED PEM , THE TRIS ARE A LITTLE BIT UNUSUAL THAN THE RED AND WHITES AND YES OEOPLE ARE ALWAYS ASKING ME WHAT IS IT.
  • Lisa & Tia

Does anyone know if you can be a foster home for just Corgi"s? In Minnesota?
  • Lisa & Tia

Rewording: does anyone know if I can be one for just corgi's?.

  • Marie and Darby

When people see my little tri colored corgi Darby they ask me if he is a husky and when I tell them they are like I have never seen a tri colored corgi or even heard of the breed.
  • Marie and Darby

  • Yuki Norton

@Marie I know what you mean. its the same with me. I don't think people are really dumb, just not aware.
  • Lisa and Izzie

Just thought I would say hi to the group. Just found this website last night! Love the fact I can talk to other corgi owners...and now even ones that have tri pems
  • Sue Taylor

I am proud to announce Callie earned her first title in obedience "Beginner Novice" yesterday at an outdoor trial in Phoenix, Az. She had a score of 192, for an 8 mo old pup that is pretty good!!
  • Annda

Moogie and I are very happy to join the Tri-color group.
  • Maple (owners Alicia n Orlando)

Glad to join the group! So, are tri color more popular then the red and white?
  • Paco Bird

Paco at Plymouth Rock, they cater to dog's there ;)
  • Yuki Norton

@alicia, i have NO idea which is more popular. Leo is my first corgi. He's my first purebred.
