Well, I am working (hard)on it. Other than my dearest husband ,my 2 dogs, are my best friends. Gizmo and Rex (2 boys) are also my kids. We first took Rex from Humane Society after we bought a house here, later was Gizmo(I didn't know about Corgi till I met him) from the family that couldn't take him. They are perfect buddies.~one is smart another can't be called smart.

I hope everything works out well for Gizmo and the cough is nothing serious. It is so hard when they can't tell us what is wrong. Good sign that he is still eating well.--Keep in touch.
  • Sam Tsang

    Welcome Thais and Gizmo!
  • Lisa P from WV

Pretty dog...did the previous owners tell you how old he is?
  • Sam & Shelby

I love the markings on Gizmo. It's good to see more people from San Antonio.
  • Carlee

Thank you! Gizmo is darling, I love his ticking! Very cute!
  • Fozzie Bear

    Gizmo is the cutessst!
I love, love, love his lion haircut.
  • Sam & Shelby

I think the new pictures are sweet, especially were the bigger dog has it's are "around" Gizmo!
  • Gizmo

Their post in picture was unscripted..:D
Gizmo seems to understand things more than Rex,he's more attach to me than anything, playing and eating are the second. For Gizmo..just one 'NO' he stop.
  • Fozzie Bear

    LOL! Fozzie... in shape? That's a first. ; )

It is always a struggle. He's incredibly obsessed with food, and he has the most pleading little eyes. But I TRY not to give him anything unhealthy, and he eats Raw meat & bones, so I think that helps.

He also spends an hour every day chasing the hose... at least. Every time we go outside he runs to the hose and looks back at me like, "can it be hose time pls?" He is obsessed.

I think Gizmo looks fantastic! Especially with his lion cut. He looks so snugglable.
  • Sam & Shelby

Thanks! Aren't all puppies? We get to go to the vet on Friday for vacinations (did I spell that right?) and a check-up. I love her soooo much ( except when she's trying to tear the living room rug into shreds.
  • Banjo and Starbuck

    Gizmo is one handsome fella!
  • Luna

hello gizmo, thank you, nice to be here.
  • Kristi

What a cutie! I'm glad to find another San Antonian onsite. What side of town are you guys on - maybe we should schedule a corgi meetup around here!
  • Kristi

    I'm over by the airport
  • Natalie, Lance &Tucker

Hi, Thank You for the warm wishes and the compliment on Lance. Gizmo is a adorable! He looks like a happy guy. I love the picutre of Gizmo and his buddy in the chair with his buddy hugging him, sooooooooo cute!
  • Geri & Sidney

    HI Gizmo and Thais!
Yes, we live in a beautiful place! We are near the ocean but far from an official "dog beach", so we have not gone yet. We've been to the shore many times but Sidney is not allowed down on the sand. That's OK though, because Sidney does not like the water! We have many nice places to hike that don't require that he gets his paws wet.
  • Suzanne

Part of the problem with the car was I think; Henry thought of it as his den. He spent a lot of time hanging around waiting for me to get out of class or off work...
We just tell everyone that the up ear is the corgi half. The down ear is the doxie half. It's funny only when both are up is the only time he holds them the same. When he has both down he holds one back and one down, never the same...
  • Suzanne

Actually Gizmo looks like he's got rat terrier in him. Look at our site. The black dogs are rat terrier and rat terrier cross. He's cuter than cute tho. How could someone not love that face!
  • Shepdog

Aw, thanks for the nice comment - that's Riley in his hat and his 'doggles' he's got way too many hats...

Love the pictures of Gizmo swimming, too!
  • Katie

    Hey there fellow lonestar corgi!
Gizmo is adorable- so is your other furry child! :)
  • JollieEllie

Hello Gizmo. Thanks for your comment! I love all your pics!!!! Post more please. Wow, he's such a good swimmer and sooo photogenic. Hey, what did you do with his tail in some of the pics? so cute.
  • Katie

    Greetings from The Rock, Gizmo!
Rockwall is nice, it is on a lake so when you leave Dallas you *think* you are going on vacation! I live on the poor side! HAHA! But my horse is close and that is what is important!

Molly is chunky-chunk! We got a stern lecture from the vet. She's on a diet too! She thinks she's starving!
  • Katie

Hey Gizmo, thanks for your support on my blog post. they are all better and I will keep posting brags- there are many!
  • JollieEllie

How long would that rawhide bone last him?
Does he choke when it gets slimy?
  • Katie

Hi Gizmo, I really like that paisley dog bed...did you get it online?
  • JollieEllie

Finished in an hour? That's quick!:) I bought a bag of 3 inches bones yesterday..hmm..no hope to keep one bone to last for at least a couple of hours then :)
Bailey is trying our patience to the limit last weekend. First he pooped in his crate -- mess absolutely everywhere-- on his new washed pillows and on Truffle! (coz they sleep together)
Then, he popped again in the laundry (arggh!!). Then we took the dogs for walks and bathed Bailey. Later went out for 3 hours for dinner and came back to find him peed a river in the crate AGAIN. Please remind me whyyyy do we have 2 dogs???? :):)
  • sandra

thanks for comment to my page...come and read sansanpups today....kaley as funny as usual!

    smiles : )
  • JollieEllie

Thanks for the tip! You're most probably right as B has been trying to dominate other areas in the house as well. No more sleeping together then :) they look so cute cuddled up together tho'. Oh you definitely should teach Gizmo more tricks. He sure is one smart dog! How about command 'BANG' (pretending you're shooting him with a gun). Truffle loves this command. She would then fall to her side and show her tummy (and of course expect her yummy reward). Very cute trick!
She can also 'SPEAK' on command and 'DANCE' (though not highly recommneded due to corgis' long body - but she'd do anything to get a treat and we took advantage hahaha)
  • JollieEllie

We have a hand gesture for SPEAK. In the beginning, hubby would say 'Truffle, speak! (hand gesture)" then he would 'bark' to show her how. After a couple of examples, she just followed hubby's barks. It was so funny. Hubby would say ' Woof' and Truffle would reply 'Woof'. He would then say 'Woof Woof' and Truffle would also reply 'Woof Woof'! I should make a video and show you.
  • JollieEllie

Huahahahaha...poor thing! Make sure you drink a lot of water after the barking sessions to soothe the throat! :):):)
  • JollieEllie

Oh Good Gizmo!..'Bang' is a good trick to learn, isnt' it? So funny. Hey, you must make a video when have a chance please.
Bailey behaved better this weekend tho' he did pee on his bean bag on Friday and destroyed a pair of socks and one new towel!
  • sandra

oooooooo you are soo cute, ehehe, you should and be good at dock diving.....kaley is gonna try it, jump off the dock and see how far she goes, she loves water!................and agility!

  • Florence

    Hello Thais,
reading your profile, I thought we had something in common: you moved from Asia to America because you married (if I'm not wrong ?), I did the same from Europ to Asia !
    Gizmo's face looks like a little my Uyanga's !
  • sandra

  • Florence

    Hi Thais !
If there is someone who don't mind if your English is good or not, it's ME ! ;0))
Because mine is far worst !!!
My mother tongue is French, and now, I speak only Japanese everyday for the life.
(I'd like very much to spend at least a year in an English speaking country to improve my English, but it's impossible with the family...)
By the way, what is "ESL" ?
  • JollieEllie

    Hi Gizmo,
can't wait to see the video. :)
  • JollieEllie

    Oh Thais,
got a recipe for nice Pad See Euw? :):):) Loooveee PSE!!!!!
  • Florence

Yes, for me, I understand better Thai or Chinese English than the American one ! ;0))
In Japan, at school, they teach American English, but in France, British English (of course, England is near France)...
When you walk Gizmo, don't you make human friends ? Here, everyday, I spend a very long time speaking with a lot of people near the river, while all the dogs are playing together, to have a dog is a very good way to make friends I think !
  • Florence

    Hello Thais !
How long have you stayed in the States ?
I've been living in Japan for 24 years, it's long...now, I'm ok, no problem, but the first years, it was very hard for me, you can gess.
It would be good for you to find some nice American friends near your home, you can speak with, when you walk Gizmo, I'm sure some people tell you "oh, your dog is cute !" or something ? May be if you speak with them a bit longer, you can make some friends ? Husband is important, of course, but friends of the country (not French friends for me, not Thai friends for you) are very important too...you can ask when you don't understand something, drinking coffee together is a very good medecine sometimes when you're homesick....
Thais, I don't know if I can help you for something, so far, but I send you a big hug !!!
    Your friend Florence.
  • Florence

You know, I've been to Bangkok, only 1 full day, when coming back to France after my 1st stay in Japan !
Only 1 day, but I took a little boat on a river, and went to "Wat Aroon" (not sure of the spell) ! It was sooooo beautiful !!!
  • JollieEllie

Gizmo, I love your 'Bang'. Hahaha, so funny!
Thais, thanks for the video :) Aren't they sucker for treats?
We went to the park/dog beach the other day and both dogs had a ball! Bailey's face is usually quite serious and grumpy but we saw him smile for the first time. :) Both doesn't like the water too much but would swim only if there is a treat in sight :), not like your good swimmer, Gizmo.
We are going to a vineyard this weekend so will post some more pics then!
What are you up to these days?
  • Florence

Oh no, I never make sushi, it's easier to buy, and tastes better !
Here, no many people make sushi you know, it's something you buy, usualy.

I'd like to go again to Thailand.....but now, when I go somewhere, it's to France, to visit my parents ! It's difficult to go to other places....may be when our daughter will be a real grown-up !
Thais, are you from Bangkok ?
  • WhiteDove

Hello. . .your fur babies are adorable, love the coloring on Gizmo
  • Florence

Thais, they ask me for a pass-word :
"This blog is protected, to view it you must log in."

Good that your husband likes spicy food ! Mine also likes it, but me....I cannot eat anything spicy ! My philipino friend in Japan cooks very very well, and I like very much philipino dishes, but she knows me and does'nt add anything hot in it when I visit her.
Do you use coriander leaves ? My husband hates it, but me , I like it very much !

Hopping you'll have a better weather than here for your week-end, it's raining, raining, almost everyday, not normal at this moment of the year....

    Take care !
    Florence, Nana, Uyanga.
  • Florence

    Hello Thais !

I'd like to taste your Thai food, if you don't add anything too spicy in it !
Before, years ago, we met a young Thai couple in Sendai and invited them for dinner at home, and we laughted because they added a lot of sugar to the noodle soup !

Did you see my Flickr photos ? I think I saw yours long ago, am I wrong ? But at this time, I didn't know you....I will search for you again !

No rain today, but again from tonight, says the tv...we almost didn' have summer here, this year !

Have a good night, Thais !
I must go to have my bicycle repaired this morning...(can you drive a car ? I can't...)
  • Florence

Oh, you changed the decoration here too !
    It's nice !
  • Florence

Yes, my soup would taste mild to you, and to my husband also because he likes spicy food, when we stayed 3 of us in S'Pore, my Chinese friends gave him so many strange and scpicy food... he could eat all !

I heard on tv there is problems now in Thailand, I hope nothing bad for your family and friends, Thais !
  • Florence

    Hi Thais,
so sorry to have disapeared for so long from MyCorgi !!!
I was just busy with too many things, but I missed you, and this is why I'm back !
The news from Thailand, I thought I saw this on tv, the Japanese one, and the French one on internet.
Is it finished now ? I hope !

How are Rex and Gizmo ?
I'll go to see if you uploaded some new pics !

    Have a good.....morning or night ?!
From your friends Florence, Nana, and Uyanga, in Japan.
