I WUD LIKE TO INTRODUCE MY VERY HANDSOME CARDIGAN CORGI........ WILF. HE IS MY BABY NOW AS MY TWO CHILDREN ARE GROWN UP AND MOVED OUT ON THEIR OWN.WILF LIVES WITH MYSELF, MY HUSBAND AND SIX CATS.....YES SIX!!!!
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
WILF HAS BECOME THE APPLE OF MY EYE SINCE COMING TO SHARE OUR HOME IN JUNE THIS YEAR. HE CAN BE A LITTLE BOSSY AT TIMES AND YET LOVEABLE WHEN IT SUITS HIM. HE CERTAINLY IS A CHARACTER BUT THEN HE WAS BORN ON APRIL FOOLS DAY!!!
Why thank you very much he is a good looking little bugger and he knows it. Wilf ain't no slouch either. I used to live in Leicester and if I remember correctly Lancashire sausage is the round sausage I loved to make bangers and mash with.
Oh I love him, Wilf, is beautiful! And was even born like Maizy, on April fools day! (LOL) You and I should celebrate their b-days together! They grow up so fast! (cry-lol)
That's it Cumberland Rings. My mouth is watering. I had a butcher in Northampton that was a winning sausage maker. I would happily drive 15 to get my dinner.
Yeah 11 is my favorite too. We just got another 6 inches or so last night!!! it's soooo pretty, like i dont want to go out and mess it up lol. Ill take more pics and post them on my page... keep watching for them :D
Regarding your questions on "fat corgis" - Green bean diet. They are high in fiber, low in calories and great fillers. I mix a 1/2 cup of dry food with 1/2 can of green beans (with no sodium) twice a day. You can use mixed vegetables, also, but the corn and carrots have a lot of calories.
Your fellow is beautiful. This is something that I posted a while back. This has always worked for us. We generally only do this diet for a week or week and a half at the time. Our doggies LOVE the Cottage Cheese and will beg for it--they are not being deprived
We feed once daily at night so what ever your normal feed schedule is substitute green beans and cottage cheese for their nomal kibble or can food. I normally give my female (she is closer in size to Peanut) about a half a can of green beans and about a quarter of a cup of cottage cheese (we use lowfat). If Peanut acts like she is feeling deprived give her a few more green beans they are practically calorie free. Your dog will love it if your corgi is anything like ours. We even continue to give them a couple of "cookies" (medium size milk bones) as that has become a part of our fun time. We walk them just a little extra - maybe an extra 10 minutes a day and you will be suprised at how quickly you start seeing that waistline again. We normally are able to go back to our normal slighly downsized diet withing 7 days. Sometimes we have to do this once a year or so with our male. Our female is skinny minnie but begs for the cottage cheese when she smells it so cottage cheese for all!!!! Good luck!
i should have clarified that we do not give kibble when we are doing our green been cottage cheese regm. however we continue to give them their milk bone treats 2 in the morning and two in the afternoon.
Thank you! On her profile picture she looks a bit like a wild lion because the collar presses her hair forward. But on some of her other pictures she looks really tiny and thin. That's because I committed the cardinal Corgi sin of shaving her for our South African summer. I know one shouldn't do that and I understand why everybody was so upset with me but she was so much more comfortable.
Wilf looks like such a cute dog. It's unusual to have so much white in the face and it makes him look very distinguished. Good luck with the diet, Believe it or not but I'm actually jealous, Bella isn't food-motivated at all and days would go by where she doesn't want to eat more than a mouthful at a time.
I have a real problem with Wll as it rains so much here in Oregon and it's hard to take him out. Trying to excercise him in the house, up and down the stairs. I think I will try the diet the person wrote below this. Will weighs 38 lbs, should be 25-30 I think. I have never seen a black and white Corgi. Thanks again for dropping me a note.
Hi, just got online. Green beans 7 to 8 ounces and about 4 ounces of cottage cheese. Hope it goes well. Happy New Year. We are going to have to put JR on the green bean Cottage cheese diet he overdid a little during the holidays!
Haha - Sorry, I know that was pretty random. I seem to find ways to related anything I see to movies. But here's a photo of the actor I'm talking about: Maybe it's just me, I don't know :)
Thank you! Your pictures are great, by the way! I am very impressed that your Corgi can live with 6 cats. I can't even imagine that, though I'll bet it's exciting.
It's so great to meet you and WILF, my Snoopy is not alone now. WILF look so handsome, can't wait to see Snoopy grow up and get rid of all the naughty things. ^^
My Ein has a weight problem, so he went on the green bean diet! He has 1 and half to 2 cups of kibble a day, and as many fresh green beans he wants. No calories, tasty and filling! He also gets baby carrots as "cookies" from time to time.
Oh yes! Ein is the same way! Just look at his wonderful jollyness!! He thinks he can con food out of anyone anytime! Like he is starving to death! Poor boy just doesn't know how to say no! lol!! And I can swear to it, I have heard him say "I'm not fat, I'm thick boned!!" before!! Ha Ha!! Wilf is so cute!! He might just be saying the same thing from time to time!

Thank you very much. Wilf has a very sweet face.
How in the world did you get him to live with 6 cats.
I have 3 and Race is afraid of them.
