Why does he do this

Posted on June 26, 2009 at 2:34pm 0 Comments

My cardigan corgi Wilf was castrated May 26th 09 and since then he seems to have stepped back six months!! When we arrive at the dog walk close by he is straining at the lead to be let off, he is great off a lead and stays quite close . The problem is that lately after he has had his initial first run he heads back to me barking and try ing to bite my legs!!! Once i have scolded him and told him .NO he quite happily goes on his way. He has also gone back to walking between my legs and every… Continue

Clumsy Corgi

Posted on February 15, 2009 at 11:52am 3 Comments

I was wondering if anyone has noticed this happening with their corgi....... When we take wilf out for his walk he is always in a hurry but we have noticed that he trips up on his own paws!!! It doesnt seem to happen when he is chasing a ball and running around like hes never been out for 6 months but i cant help but worry as to why it should happen. I would be happy to get you guys opinions

Motorhome travel

Posted on January 29, 2009 at 3:46pm 6 Comments

We heve just come back from a few days away in our new motorhome which was really relaxing and good fun even with our cold weather!! My problem is Wilf, whilst he is happy enough when we are parked up but he is not happy traveling. He seems very nervous and cant seem to find a place to lie and stay, he is continually on the move (usually around by my husbands feet whilst he is trying to drive!!). I was wondering if anyone had had any similar experience and could offer any advice

Wilf is very handsome! But Henderson beats him in the cat department - we have seven, lol! I love the picture with Wilf cocking his head - it's a classic.

It's all about him from the moment I brought him home at 8 weeks, and if I slip up the bark bark bark pulls me back in! Does Wilf play tricks on you? Bruties does, he'll hide his head and truly thinks I can't see him, it's so funny, but I play along ofcourse. Corgi's are so quick to learn wish I was 10 years younger he'd make a great jumper, but alas, we settle for runs in the yard and fetch. It's always a good morning with a Corgi, that look, tilt of the head and cutting those eyes back at you, and ofcourse the bore. I'm sure he knows everything I'm thinking before I think it! Have a great day and a long life with Wilf!

Oh NO NO NO he looks PERFECT, know what you mean about "being in for it!" Does Wilf "talk" to you? Brutis does, and he finally has me going in the right direction=his way. I laugh all the time with this guy, there is NEVER a dull moment as you well know! Just when you think you've seen it all, here comes something new. Brutis is 1 1/2 years old and I hope the puppy stage never goes away. I can see why your boy is the apple of your eye, he looks like so much fun and love. Mary and Brutis
