About Me:
I am involved with the 4h dog project. I am currently working with my Border Collie, Pembroke Welsh Corgi mix in agility, obedience, and rally. This is my second year going to state with Jelly the Borgi, and she has made so much progress from when we first started. I am planing on working with more of our other Pembroke Welsh Corgis in 4h and the Packerland Kennel Club.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
Yes

About My Corgi(s):
Jelly, she is my spoiled little taildog. I love her so much. Even though we show alot, we don't go for the competition. We go for the fun of it all, and each ribbon is a memory of what we've worked on in the past years. Jelly does have an affinity for the hotels. She get's so excited to be able to be the only dog there, and to sleep next to me. (I don't let her sleep in my bed at home because I have a room on the 2nd floor and Corgi's bodies don't go very well with going down our steep stairs. When I do let her up by me, I usually end up carrying her back down.)

Jasper, he is our stud dog, and our lover boy. When we first got him from a AKC breeder, he wasn't very socialized at all. Anything would scare him, and it was nearly impossible to pet him. We've had him for a year or so now, and he's turned out to be a great dog. His personality is really showing. He loves attention, and is a gorgeous dog. It really takes good socialization to make a dog shine it's brightest. I am planning on showing him in this next year. Jasper is a really intellegent boy. I am planning on training him for showmanship, and possibly obedience. We tried to start training him right when he had gotten settled into our house, but he was so afraid of everything we had to wait on that for a while.

Mercedes, she has that "fluffy" gene, so her coat is extra long. We also got her from an AKC breeder. She wasn't much more socialized than Jasper, but she had more of "fight" rather than "flight" reflex, unlike Jasper. Sadie is definately more high energy than the rest of our corgis. She exhibits more herding instinct off the bat, and already has gotten pretty quick on commands as long as there is a treat involved. She reminds me more like an obedient cat. She'll listen, but usually only if there is something in it for her. I'm certain that if I can start training her more in obedience, and have her understand the basics of herding, she'll calm down a bit more. She just needs to feel that she has a purpose. I'm sure if we'd go for half hour of herding the chickens, or maybe a walk, but with challenging her heeling, she'd feel great about herself.

Check out the aspca on the grape issue. Seems to be not all dogs all the time, but why risk it?

Your pups are adorable!

hi. I am not sure about how dangerous they are. I just remember reading it somewhere. Maybe just ask your vet. There are always so many different sources and you hear different things. I may or may not be true. Just want to give a heads up in case we, as dog people need to be informed. Also, anyone with any further info on this would be appreciated. Thanks! Your dog is adorable!

Beautiful dogs! I checked out your website too. My sister has a border collie, Tilo who we think has some english sepherd in him because he is a bit more mellow than a BC. She rescued him from this great place in Morris NY near where she lives. Tilo and Le-Le love to play and my parents PWC, Punch runs after them barking and trying to herd them. Very funny.
