About Me:
I had been Casey's Mom for over 5 years, since he was 8 weeks old. I fell in love with those "corgi eyes" and sweet expression.
Casey crossed the rainbow bridge in Sept.'09 due to cancer. He was only 5yrs. & 3 mos. old. Even though I have another corgi, there's not a day that I don't think of him.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
"Be Bop Bailey" is a Tri Pembroke and was born on Sept. 12, 2009. He is a "super-charged" corgi, always looking for trouble to get into! I have channeled this energy by doing Agility. He is fearless and has tried all the equipment and loves it! We are just doing it for fun until he's old enought to compete.
I have:

Introducing "Be Bop Bailey"!

Bailey was born Sept. 12, 2009 and I adopted him from a breeder when he was 8 weeks old. Just like kids, Bailey is very different from my beloved Casey in so many ways. Bailey is fearless and super active. He can climb/jump over a baby gate! He is a tri, as I wanted him to look entirely different from Casey. To channel his energy, we are starting agility this week. I know that he will love it!

Since I lost my corgi Casey to cancer last month, the house has been much too quiet! Do any of you have puppies available?

Casey crossed the rainbow bridge

I had to have Casey put down yesterday. His cancer had spread throughout his lymph nods, his face and the last few days had taken most of his eyesight. It was the most difficult thing I ever had to do, but it was the right thing for Casey. The house is so quiet and empty. Thank you all for your kind words when I previously asked for advice about his cancer. I cannot see myself without a corgi in my life, and I will be looking for another when the time is right.

My Corgi has cancer

Posted on June 27, 2009 at 7:40pm 15 Comments

My wonderful, loving corgi, Casey has cancer. He is only 5 years old. He also has been having seizures for about a year now. I have them pretty much controlled with an herb formula I found on the web. 4 weeks ago, the vet found a tumor on the roof of his mouth. He removed it along with the 4 upper front teeth that were very loose and hurting Casey. We treated an infection with antibiotics. He seems much better---very happy to be able to eat again! I did alot of research on the web and I decided… Continue

I am very sorry for the loss of your Casey. She seems to be a very cute, loving, and gentle corgi. My best wishes to you and your search for a new pup!

I think Jackson USED to have the same toy that Casey has. Our yard has a steep hill leading to a very big creek on the side of it, and Jackson usually loses his toys to it. When Jackson had that toy, he never seemed to enjoy it, even if it did have treats in it. A good homemade toy that we make for him is that we soak a small cloth in water, and freeze it. It stays frozen for quite a while, and jackson normally spends a good 45 minutes trying to thaw it out. Thanks for the blog post, and I hope we can be friends!

The person I had email contact with (from Sunshine) is Deb Shindler. I had some corgi questions before I got Casey. She was helpful and informative.
I thought I was the only night owl still on the web!

Hi Barbara! I did talk to Betty, she is on vacation right now and will send out detail on the picnic around the 1st of Nov, for those who would like to attend will have to email her directly. I am aware of sunshine corgi rescue group and have been on their resuce list for a few years. Paul Drake is on the staff there and they're doing a terrific job. I didn't know that they have a small group gathering, may be i should check it out.

To bad you can't make it. Last year there were almost a 100 corgi's there. Hopefully someone will take over. If not well I have a large yard. But very little shade and I live west of West Palm Beach.

That's great! we should get together sometime, tell every corgi owner you know about MyCorgi.com :) I would like the melbourne corgi pinic to continue for the years to come, but where's a good location that can handle 100 plus people and corgis? any ideas?
