Corgi sitting for 2 weeks

My husband and I have the opportunity to babysit my mom's dog Rex for 2 weeks starting Sunday. I'm super excited, but I'm pretty sure the other half is a bit nervous. He's never had dogs, so doesn't really know how to be around them. It'll also be different as I've never had a dog in town before. On the farm we just open the door and they charge around where ever they want. The whole take it for a walk idea will be interesting. Thank goodness it's supposed to get above zero next week! It's been worth it to me and my husband, but both of us work on keeping the house cleaned of newf drool. I have cleaned drool off walls, ceilings, doors, tabletops, and even the ceiling fan. I've heard people tell of non-drooling (or newfs that drool only a little) but I've never seen one for myself. Until I have proof, I'm going to consider that to be just another urban myth.

Not sure if you would be interested, but my corgi Emma's daddy (JR) is up for adoption. He is 20 mo. old, handsome sable and white corgi. He is house trained and very well mannered. His owner is looking for a loving home for him. Just thought I would mention it. :)
