I browse Petfinder periodically, even though I'm a couple months out from being able to adopt personally. Today, I discovered a brand new listing for a young, beautiful girl named Mattie. If I'd…Continue

That's an awesome picture. Wishing you luck on your quest. It took a couple years to find the corgi for us.

re Mattie:  "responsible" breeders make you sign a contract precluding you from relinquishing the dog to a "shelter" if it doesn't work out -- so I doubt Mattie came from a "responsible" breeder -- but she still looks like a great dog.

Thanks for posting about Mattie.  How does a dog like that end up in a shelter!?  Crappy tail docking job, but otherwise looks like a fine corgi.

If you're still researching corgis, -- I reckon you've already done this -- check out CPWCC -- Carrie Hale is the VP, she has a litter NOW -- we got Al & Gwynnie from her.  She's a great source of info.  Mary Day is the local rescue person at CPWCC.  Check he rout and shoot an email about Mattie.
