Hand signal for "SIT"

Started this discussion. Last reply by Sammy Jan 19, 2021. 2 Replies

Somehow the old hand signal for "SIT" is terrifying Sammy now.  I realized it was my extended hand, palm down  toward but not always over his head.  We all know they don't like over the head stuff…Continue

Sammy WILD about leash up for walk time--really wild.

One thing that Sammy loves is his AM and PM walks.  So much so that when it's harness/leash time he is SO wound up with barking and bouncing that he can become dangerous to hands hooking him up.  The hands could be collateral damage LOL. It's obviously total excitement about the walk---or is it pooping?  Within just a minute of so on the walk we have pooping.  How do I calm him down without raining on his excitement or delaying his pooping? After a year of rescuing him he's becoming better and…See More

Serious reaction to being awakened

I'll start with a brief question:  my adopted 5 year old M Pembroke has been with me for 10 weeks but (yes, let sleeping dogs lie) when aroused or disturbed while in what my trainer calls "rem sleep" he becomes threatening....growling and (believe it or not) stalking me throughout the house.  It's Jekyll and Hyde.....he appears to be in a zombie state.  When the incident ends maybe 10 minutes later he appears shamed, sad and wanting affection and cuddling.  I've got a lot of other loose ends…See More

Hi John and Lil' Winnie!! We have a behavior program at All Breed Rescue & Training. What you need to do is call the office and schedule a behavior evaluation. The evaluations are 1 to 1 1/2 hours and cost 65. You will need to bring both dogs in. Our office number is 264-6460. We are closed on Fridays and Mondays. Someone will be there this weekend. Tell them that Jody recommended you. If you have anymore questions please ask. :)

Yeah.....They're like chips.  You can't just have one.  I started out with one.  Then another and another.  Gotta stop now though or I'll get thrown out of town.
