My dog does the same thing, it is just a body temp thing. When the bed gets too warm for her she changes to tile, slate, or lenoleum (which ever she is near). He seems to have taken to the bed with gusto.

@ Bev, I know I couldnt believe it I was glad I had my camera right next to me to get the picture...... But I'm not sure he really knows what to do with the bed he lays on it & then will lay on the tile floor.....

Had trouble making himself comfortable huh! LOL He looks really happy with his new digs.
