2 nights camped on a mountaintop at 6700'. Vast steep 40-degree meadow slopes choked with wildflowers; it was like walking in a beehive. Gwynnie climbed this 8700' peak, Fortress Mt., Sept. 2009. Buck Creek Pass, Glacier Peak Wilderness. Behind the camera is a vast valley with no roads or stumps, and a 10,000+' volcano, Glacier Peak.
