Al shows off his low prey drive. They were 30 yds. away. He just looked out the tent door and didn't even bark. He didn't make a sound all weekend, in fact.
Maybe he'd flunk his herding test, but low prey drive is a big asset in a trail dog. Especially with porcupines and skunks.

This is so great...I discovered my Sophie's nose while camping once. All of a sudden I heard this very low muffled woof - really low. Then about 5 minutes later a deer walked by. She didn't move. I love that shot of Al. Looking forward to more Canadian pics.
