This is on Earl Peak, 7000' in the Washington Cascades. That's Mt. Stuart, 9600', behind Al.

Not much need for re-touching with the subject matter is near perfect!

The photo is unretouched except for exposure adjustment.

PS  The reality is that your dogs live more in a year than most of ours do in a lifetime. I don't think there are many corgis that wouldn't choose to live life with you than live as couch potatoes.

LOL. I knew you'd get heat for this. Why didn't you just tell the truth...It was PhotoShop!

The dogs are almost never exposed to a serious fall, even if it might look that way. I no longer worry much about them falling. Like some climbers, dogs are stupid about rockfall -- initiating or receiving; there have been accidents -- so you have to watch out for that. I worry more about log crossings over swift rivers (often belay them), coyotes, porcupines, cougars, hunters, snakes, lions, tigers, and bears.

@Priscilla and John - LOL. I feel the same way. John, do you get nervous on some of your treks with A & G? I get nervous just looking at some of your great photos. I know you worry about avalanches and are careful. It's clear to me that no one loves their corgis more than you. I guess you guys are just a lot less fearful than some of us! We all live vicariously. S happens, but, you know that you're living the life many of us and our corgis can only dream about. How's this for an ambivalent message?! haha.
