Awesome picture, such a corgi look on his face =]
Doesn't look a lb over 25. ;)
Lois, I don't know how our neighbors have tolerated the barking from my guys. Lucy goes craaaazy when she sees a squirrel and doesn't stop barking even after she's treed it. She, we have learned since getting Ricky-Rafa, is a barking herder. Since she's alpha, she's always chasing him and barking the whole time. He only barks when he wants her to play with him or he's bored. Their barking is making me nuts. It's funny that Lucy is about as fast as RR, even though she's half his size. She just has much better conformation and she's very fast. She may be little but she's mighty! haha. She also has much more herding instinct. RR never nipped at our heels when he was little.
@Wendy, Lucy is a princess, no doubt. I have not seen one that looked more like a princess. Ricky looks like the tuff ready to rocknroll guy. Randy is very active and wants Reese to be more active but she is just different. She tends to guard at the front window and he runs in and out to the back and has barked so much that one of my neighbors is not happy with us.
PS Lucy is a lot tougher than she looks. She's alpha. R-R adores her and she grown from hating to tolerating to actually playing all day with him. It's been a process. He was a big challenge, even to our marriage, for a time. My husband wanted me to rehome him and I couldn't do it. So for almost a year he wrecked all semblance of peace and calm in our house. Now he's a lover boy. The snuggly one. My husband's best friend. He goes every where with Jack. Lucy runs and hides when Jack gets her leash. RR is at J's side, "where are we going? <pant, pant>
Ricky's a big Corgi, too. We rescued him at 16 wks and he was like a feral animal! Poor Lucy. She was like a little princess, perfectly happy with her life. She was 4, and we thought she was getting too lazy and other than walks was becoming a couch potato, so we adopted Ricky-Rafa "for her." haha. Lucy is petite, 21 lbs. I thought RR would be small too because he was tiny from being underfed. He's now over a year and weighs 34 lbs. He's so solid, really a corgi w/o fat, that it's hard to pick him up.
He now has quite a bit of black and looks more like a sable.
