Bravo for grooming your own Fluff! You are a better woman than I. Pen hates the dryer too, my groomer puts her in a kennel with a low heat dryer. She is so big and has so much fur it takes at least until the next day for her to dry. I think all Corgis don't tolerate heat well. Pen loves to lay in the snow, but during our hot summers in Colorado, she really struggles. I only take her out early early in the morning. Sounds like Reese is making such great progress in the health area! The weight gain is good no?
Tina, I do most of his grooming and he is not very cooperative. He was initially and then I had him groomed and he was less cooperative. I do have a grooming table but I'm afraid he will jump off and hang himself. But I may use in later. The problem is that he seems to have a heat intolerance which was also true of his great aunt (fluff also) that I had. I am a little afraid of letting some one else dry him although I did have Sandy groomed but it was primarily by a woman who did it at home. Since he is heat intolerant, I will probably clip him in April and then again later in the summer. We haven't had much winter so I am afraid the summer is going to be very bad. Reese now weighs more than Randy so we are working to reduce that somewhat.
There is a few spots where my groomer got a little overzealous. Pen's hair grows so fast...I don't fret over it. Why is Sir Randy all butchered up? Bad groomer?
Randy's is all butchered up.
