About Me:
I'm a first-time corgi owner. I go to college part time and work full time in Portland, Oregon. I am a data entry clerk at a small medical billing company. I currently hate my job and am looking for another place to work. I am in the HIM program at PCC, and can't wait to graduate.

I love animals in general, and have wanted a corgi for many years. Finally I found the right breeder for me. I went to her house to buy my puppy - she had four left. I went there with two particular puppies in mind, and ended up leaving with the one I had first fallen in love with in the pics the breeder sent me. She wasn't recommended by the breeder for me, but no matter how much I looked at the other puppies, she seemed to be the right one for me. I still feel I made the right decision, and I couldn't ask for a better dog.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Olive is a beautiful red and white female. She was 7 months old when she came home with me. Her birthday is April 11, 2008.
Olive is my shadow. She follows me everywhere, loves to go on car rides with me, and hates it when I leave her home alone. Her new favorite toy is a Softie frisbee which she's learning to catch. It's very cute to watch!
I finally found a playmate for her - a corgi/blue heeler mix named Zoe. Olive is always shy when they first see each other, and a little while later they're chasing each other all over. It took a long time for her to get used to other dogs because her sister used to be very mean to her.
I have:
Pembroke

Major Cuteness

Posted on May 12, 2009 at 3:19pm 0 Comments

Olive is such a good girl. She's all grown into herself now and still adorable. We're experiencing major shedding, as I'm sure you all are this time of year. I've brushed most of it out by now but my bedroom carpet is dark blue and her hair clings to it like no other. So we're trying to train her to sleep in a doggy bed I found. We couldn't get her to stay in it... so unbeknownst to me, my mom took a tiny drop of my shampoo last night and rubbed it into the blanket just to give it a tiny smell… Continue

Olive's Losing her Womanhood Today

Posted on January 8, 2009 at 3:21pm 2 Comments

My poor baby had to get spayed today. I dropped her off at the vet at 8am this morning, and can't pick her up until tomorrow after work. :( She was so scared when we got there, too. She wanted to escape. But she was still a good girl. She sat when I told her to and just waited patiently while I filled out our paperwork. What a good girl. I miss her already. I get to call soon and see how the procedure went. I'm a bit nervous. Things CAN go wrong, after all. I'm very worrysome. I hope I'm just… Continue

Life with Olive

Posted on January 5, 2009 at 2:42am 0 Comments

Howdy again. Well, I'm happy to report that all the strange feelings of guilt I had over buying Olive are long gone. She's officially a member of the family and we all love her dearly. She's going in to be spayed this Thursday, poor girl, but we'll take good care of her while she's healing. She's the coolest dog and I'm so happy to have her. She learns so quickly, I'm amazed by her. Well, happy new year, everyone!

Olive's Progress #1

Posted on December 11, 2008 at 3:51pm 1 Comment

Well, already after just one day Olive has shown great progress. There was no chewing while I was at work yesterday, no chewing while I was asleep and nothing had been destroyed when I went home to walk her this afternoon. She was being a very good girl. We picked up a whole bag full of different types of chewy bones for her, and a tennis ball. She's got things to occupy her now, plus I think she and the cat have finally become friends. I see them touch noses a lot lately. It's so… Continue

Ches and Olive do look a lot alike! I got Chesney from a breeder in Irrigon, Oregon just outside of Hermiston. Where did you get Olive?
