Decided to update a bit. We now have 3 Corgis. Toby is going on 9 , in good health. He loves to lay on the patio on good days and sun himself. Lola is also 8-9, our puppy mill girl is a sweety. She follows "Mommy" everywhere and is such a cuddler. We now have taken is my sons dog Shelby, 5 yrs old a our "comic relief". They all get along well and have such distinctive personlities. I swear from the corgi tumbleweeds we have a 4th one hiding somewhere!!! But they are very much loved and wanted in this forever home

New Addition

Posted on December 27, 2008 at 10:07am 2 Comments

We have a new member to our family. We are keeping my Grand dog Shelby now. She is a playful 5yr old girl. She is making herself right at home with Toby our 9 yr old boy and Lola our 8 yr old girl. She loves to give kisses (baths actually) and can do a few tricks.

Update on Ben

Posted on January 2, 2008 at 11:30am 3 Comments

On Christmas day Ben left our home for his new foreverhome. It was difficult saying goodbye, I had become so attatched as his "foster Mom". I hope he is doing well, have not heard too much about him. I had hoped his new owner would have been kind enough to email on occasion to let me know how he was adjusting. I miss his sweet face and his antics. Toby and Lola seem to be ok. The first few days they wanted more attention and loving from Bob and I. It will be awhile before I consider fostering… Continue

BEN aka formerly Rascal

Ben is 11weeks old now. Turns out he is a male but has hypospadias ( his urethra comes out below his anus). When he is 6 months old they will be more concerned about his undescended testicles and may need surgery for that only. Ben is a real charmer. He loves to play to the dismay of Toby and Lola who spend most of their time trying to get away from him. He is working on his potty training. He loves to CHEW!!!!!!!!!!!!! No matter how many toys, he… Continue

Hi Carolyn. Toby and Lola are so cute. And Ben, I would have gobbled up in a heartbeat! Hope he is doing well. Can you send the new owners a note? Maybe they'll respond. I have an aunt who lived in Florissant MO for years and years. She's in Ark now as a visiting nurse. Take care.

Hi Carolyn; Thanks for your message. I really appreciate that someone actually read my history. We had Roscoe tested by a neurosurgeon for animals. There was a good chance he would not survive the surgery, or become worse (seizures, etc.) Plus the cost was $5,000! With no guarantees for his survival, we opted to accept his/our fate. We've given him a wonderful happy puppyhood and are taking good care of him.
He's a character and makes me laugh a lot. I'll be heartbroken when he dies, and have been thru that more times than I like but we've had the pleasure of him in our lives. Love your pic by the way. Thanks

I just watched Charlize Theron video on puppy mills and Im horrified. My sweet Lola was a victim of that abuse. Im so glad she was rescued and I can give her the loving home she deserves. She had 5 litters of pups and she is only 20 lbs. She was very ill when Pets Second Chance received her. Thanks so much to Corgi Aid for helping her recover and of course Linda who brought Lola ino my life.
