About Me:: Hello, I am Carol. I have been married 24 years, have four children, 3 of which are grown. I have 2 son's in the Marines, with one in Iraq. A daughter that is married with our beautiful granddaughter Gracie that has just turned one. Then I have a 15 year old son still at home. We got Desi for my remaining son at home as he was begging for a dog; however he ignores Desi pretty much so Desi has become my little shadow. I have never been a dog person but Desi has changed all that. She is such a character, she has me laughing all the time. She's been great for me because she loves her walks so much she makes me get out and exercise. I am totally smitten with her.

About My Corgi(s):: Desi is is 8 months old. She is so much fun to have around and she is so smart. She is so very smart and easy to train. I swear she knows every word I say. She loves herding and playing with my five cats. They have come to love her too in their own way. We take her everywhere that we can to her socially used to evry situation. I am thinking about making her a therapy dog because she just loves everyone and she has such a gentle soul.

Sorry I haven't been around for awhile. There has been a lot going on at home. Now things have slowed down. I took some pictures of Desi on Sunday. She makes a great model. I added them to my slide show.

Desi got spayed on tuesday. Poor thing was miserable for 2 days. Today she is acting like I am abusing her by not letting her run outside and play. She keeps giving me her sad puppy dog eyes. She's bored out of her mind. I'm trying to not give her to many treats as she is getting way… Continue

After some suggestions of using other latin names to add to Desi's name for her papers, I went to look at other latin names. This is what I came up with and rather like it. What do you think?

Desum Lili Joi Diamond

It is all latin.

Desum(short) Lili(Lily) Joi(joy) Diamond(precious gem)

Naming your corgi...need help here.

Ok, we named our corgi Desi which is short for Desum which means "short" in latin. We have had Desi since October and I am just now getting around to sending in her AKC papers. I know I am slow. I have a delimma though. I only have one name for her. How many names are good for the papers? And how did you come up with the names? I am clueless here. HELP!
