About My Corgi(s):
We recently adopted a Cardigan mix from our local SPCA. He is a beautiful black and tan. Estimated to be about 1year old.
Hubby can't get over the fact of how much he looks like a German Shepard minus the height.

I've always loved corgis, and am a huge fan of Ein from the anime Cowboy Bebop. As soon as our 5yo saw him that's what she started calling him, and who are we to try to turn a 5yos opinion. So he's not a red and white Pembroke.. big dealie, he's still our Ein.

Our First Morning

Posted on February 3, 2009 at 10:02am 0 Comments

So after a pretty much uneventful night, no whining, no crying, no potty accidents or any hoopla with Spooky, the cat, we had our first morning. Pretty good over all.

I came out of my room and let him out to pee while I woke the kids up. Ein was a little excited when the boy came out of his room, and jumped a little, but this was quickly corrected to a more proper behavior, and was a little darty when he tried to leave out for the bus. It took a couple minutes of patience for him to… Continue

Hi,

May I ask if you are sure that he is a Cardigan? Not all Pems are docked; and Pems are much, much more common in shelters than Cardis.

To me your boy looks like a Pemmie with a tail: he has smaller ears, a narrower snout, lighter front-gear than most male Cardigans, and less turn-out on his front legs.

Hard to tell his size from a photo though. Might be worth looking into. Not that it makes much difference ;)

Just my 2 cents - as a human who belongs to Corgis of both breeds, and a former rescue person who has seen Pems with tails.

hopefully :)
We're going to have him in classes soon also, so i'm hoping he'll be exceptionally well trained. I'd just love to be able to communicate with him.
He's def. going to be the most spoiled dog in the world though, well trained or not, he's my baby :D
