About Me:
Corgi Owner for Three Years. We got Shorty and Fiona while I was stationed in Korea.

Originally we fed them dried food, but in the last six months we've kept them on raw and they're doing great.

We feed them Oma's Pride with one squirt of Grizzly Salmon Oil which keeps their coats shiny and beautiful. When I cook chicken, we feed them the RAW bones (not cooked) and that keeps their teeth nice and clean.

Shorty, our boy dog, had problems with appetite and overall health and ever since we went raw, his energy and health has been great. I never have to coax my dogs to eat the raw food. I put it in front of them and it's gone!

Anyhow, my wife and love our dogs.

The honeymoon is over and the dogs are back to normal

Posted on April 13, 2009 at 11:38am 0 Comments

After a couple weeks of separation and constant supervision, the honeymoon is over and Shorty and Fiona are back to the norm of fighting over snacks and toys.

I am pretty happy about that because there was a lot of added stress making sure these guys don't make little corgis in the near future.

Also, I was worried because we have obedience training this Thursday and because she's out of heat, she can go and become a "civilized" corgi. Anyhow, I'm excited to learn and… Continue

Fiona in Heat, Signed for Basic Obedience

While we were in Korea, our dogs didn't get enough socialization and we finally decided to take them to obedience school so that we can try to break some bad habits. They are fine meeting people but big dogs are a different story. I worried about the first day. Our dogs can be a little crazy so it should be interesting. It's time to take some active steps into teaching them how to act properly around other dogs.

The infamous corgi bark intimidates other owners so it's been hard to… Continue

New to My Corgi

Posted on March 29, 2009 at 2:00pm 0 Comments

Hi,

I am an owner of two Pem Welsh Corgis. We've had Shorty and Fiona for about three years and they're great.

They're great and loving dogs but we've decided to take them to obedience training so they can better socialize and I learn from a professional.

Anyhow... great to be here and hope to learn and share from people's experiences.

Thanks,

Frank and Jinny
