South Alabama, where the sun is hot, the surf is cool, and the dogs are waiting for me to throw them a ball or a Frizbee!

About Me:
I reside near Mobile Bay, in Alabama. I'm basically a horse lover, but truth be told, I'm a true animal lover. Currently I am owned by one corgi, Cody, an Aussie, named Izzi, 2 birds, and a horse. My husband, Bob, is kind enough to put up with all the fuzz and feathers. Our son, Matt is currently serving in the Navy. I keep my horse at the Double D Ranch, and that is where I also share ownership of goats, cats, peacocks, guinees, and 11 bantam chickens. I also love music, and making horse equipment. I play harmonica and percussion in a duo called "Wildwood" The tack business is called "Flashy Tack". You can hear some of our music at www.myspace.com/wildwoodgroup. Life stays filled with trips to the feed stores, and either riding, playing music, or throwing balls to the dogs. Who says life has to be all work and no play. If you own corgis, you have to play!!
Cody is a fun loving, tongue hanging, ball chasin' little buddy. She happily shares me with "Izzi" my Australian Shepherd rescue. She has also learned to peacefully co-exist with my Cockatiel, and parakeet. Nobody has the guts to tell Cody she isn't really the boss of everybody. You know that ol' "Corgitude", she wouldn't believe it anyway.

Nothing Like the Love of a Corgi to Make your Day!
Cody loves nothing more than to play soccer with as large a ball as you can get. Nothing stops her. She can even bounce it off her nose like a seal. It works a lot of energy off which is good for a house corgi!
Thanks again Gayle for the additional info about Cody and his ball. BTW, You must be very proud of your son. That's a very nice picture. I enjoyed looking at your photos. You can tell that you are a true animal lover! :^)
Cody and the big ball... I love it! Will buy one for Bella and start letting her burn off some of that puppy energy. Thanks for neat idea. BTW, Cody is precious!!
Thanks!!! I found a breeder out of Centreville, AL (near Tuscaloosa) named Murphy... anyway he has some puppies that are about 7 weeks old and not quite ready to go out to homes yet.. We are going to visit them Monday and get a feel for their dogs and make a decision. We wouldn't get the pup until after July 20, though, if all goes well. Thanks for your response... I wish the corgi owners in AL could get together at least once and let the bunnybutts get to know each other!! :-)
I wanted to say hi and hopefully get your advice on where we can get a corgi pup? You can go to my profile page and look at my history with corgis--so I promise I'm not a nut. I would rather stay in-state to get a pup. I see in the Birmingham News classifieds four different ads for corgi dogs, but I don't know nor trust these people. Since you're in AL too I figured you'd have a better idea of who's out there. We are in Pell City!!! Thanks for any help you can offer...
I used to spend a lot of time just south of you down around Bon Secaur Bay. When I was a kid my parents loved to go down there and fish. But that was longer ago than I care to say. :)
I love the picture of Cody with the big ball. I'm going to have to get one of those for Gus.
