About My Corgi(s):
Corky was my red and white puppy who was full of love and had a spunky personality. She loved to run on the beach with me and was always looking to play...she was a bundle of love. Unfortunately, she died accidentally in May when she was 10 months old. I was devastated and still miss her very much.

In June of '08 I bought little Calli from a breeder in Nebraska. She is a tri-colored mini corgi and is my little angel! She is smart, outgoing, and a ball of love which she shares with everyone she meets. She has been my saving grace and lights up the darkest of my days. :)
I have:
Pembroke

Transitioning from crate-trained to being left in a limited room?

Posted on February 9, 2009 at 5:13pm 4 Comments

Hi all,

I have a question about transitioning from leaving your puppy in a crate to a limited space. As some of you might know, I lost Corky last year when she somehow got into the trash. I am feeling extremely anxious about leaving Calli alone, but she is getting older and I feel badly leaving her in the crate during the day. My bedroom has two doors which I could block off so that she could have the room which is completely clear of anything. I just don't know if any of you have… Continue

My new puppy Calli

Posted on August 2, 2008 at 12:32pm 9 Comments

I wanted to post an update to all of you who had been so supportive when Corky had died. I have had an extremely busy couple of months and no internet (which was pretty difficult!) since I had moved into a new apartment and had been trying to catch up with everything. I found a breeder in Nebraska and bought a 10 week old tri-colored corgi. She is a mini (will be about 15 lbs) and her name is Calli. Now she is about 4.5 months old and is an absolute doll! It was the best thing for me to do even… Continue

Corgi Breeders near NH (MA, ME, VT)?

Posted on May 20, 2008 at 12:57pm 3 Comments

Thank you again to everyone with their support. It has been tremendously helpful during this heart-wrenching time. I am starting to get over the guilt, but am missing my little friend and the times we would spend together. I would like to find some breeders so that I may be able to share my love with another little corgi. I know she won't replace Corky and I wouldn't want her to, but I love taking care and being with them. I would give another the best home possible and all the love in the… Continue

Corky has died :(

Posted on May 19, 2008 at 10:30am 32 Comments

Yesterday afternoon, after only leaving the house for a short period of time, I found Corky on the flood. She had gotten into the trash and pulled out a snack bag which was caught over her head. I can't find the words to describe the pain and sadness I am feeling. I keep running over scenarios in my head about what I could have done, how I could have gotten home sonner, in order to prevent this from happening. I feel so guilty and like there is a hole in my heart. I love Corky and want to see… Continue

Your Calli looks a little like my Callie, who will also only be around 15lbs.

Congrats on the new addition! Are you still in NH? Daisy is getting so big! 8 months! She has decided she loves the water now. It's so funny!

I will be going to Daniel Webster in the fall. Just moved here from NY. It's been so nice not to be around all the excitement of the city. Daisy is sleeping right now, so I have a chance to catch up on work. I can't take my eye off her! She will chew whatever she can find!

Heather...

I saw your note today - sorry I don't hit this site as much as I should.

It was great meeting you and Corky on Sunday in Kingston. It was a great time. Byron was real tuckered out that night.

There were a bunch of pictures posted on gocorgi. Here's a link to the thread...

We are planning on meeting again April 20th (Rain Date April 27th). Hope you can join us again.

Pat, Linda, Byron and Fergie.
