Is our dog going into heat?

We have a 8 yr. old female that we got a few weeks ago from another family. She is housebroken and has never had an accident as long as we had her and we take her out several times a day. However, yesterday she had two accidents in the house, and there were a few spots of blood in her urine. Her next heat cycle shouldn't be until the end of August. Could she be going into heat early?

Doesn't play well with others

We've only had Jellybean for about a week, she's 8. When another dog tried playing with her today she just sat there like a stick in the mud and growled as if to say "get away from me you hooligan!" Is she just a cranky old person? What can we do help her get friendlier with other dogs?Thanks!See More

"I'm IE and Tyshia's biology. Jellybean seems to be getting a little tiny bit more active as she adjusts to us. She still has to take a break partway up the stairs though. :D"
