We have a 8 yr. old female that we got a few weeks ago from another family. She is housebroken and has never had an accident as long as we had her and we take her out several times a day. However, yesterday she had two accidents in the house, and there were a few spots of blood in her urine. Her next heat cycle shouldn't be until the end of August. Could she be going into heat early?

I don't really know the answer to your question, but I do know that unexpected pee accidents in a housebroken dog + blood in urine could possibly indicate a urinary tract infection.

I'll let one of the more experienced people comment on the heat cycle issue.
frequent urination can be UTI, however, this behavior can also occur during the heat cycle. Now does the spotting also occur whenever she sit? How about her nipples and VaJJ? are they swollen? Just like human, dogs can also have irregular cyclel.
