NYC 2010 Fall Corgi Meetup at Hillside Dog Park
November 14, 2010 from 1pm to 3pm
I'm organizing the second NYC-area meetup for the year. Join Taco and I at the awesome Hillside Dog Park in Brooklyn Heights/DUMBO. At our Spring meetup in June, we had 13 corgis in attendance - our best showing yet. Hope we get an even bigger group this time.The park is easily accessible by subway. There is also free street parking in the adjacent Brooklyn Heights neighborhood if you can't find a spot by the park.See More

- I'm a 25 yr old corgi owner. I grew up riding horses and was always around corgis but just recently got my own! I am an assistant marketing & comms manager and just starting my MBA in the fall.

- Chipper is a 5 month old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. He does have a tail, however, b/c he was born very small and they didn't want to do anything to harm his health. Now, he is a growing boy with lots of energy who LOVES other dogs and people. He just can not get enough. He loves my parent's 170lb golden retriever and any other dog that could crush him...he thinks he's there size.

I have a 5 1/2 month old Corgi named Chipper. He's the best!!! (which I'm sure everyone says about their corgi - haha). However, he sheds a LOT. He eats high-end puppy food (Eukenuba lamb & rice) and we brush him pretty frequently. It's usually his hind end and tail that shed the most but he's pretty sensitive - as in you can brush him for a few minutes with the wire brush but then he hates it. Any suggestions how to keep the shedding to a minimum?

Pa'ani said… - welcome! Pa'ani looked exactly like chipper when he was younger (except Pa'ani doesnt have a tail). Pa'ani enjoys finding the biggest dog at the dog park and playing with him! how cute!
