I am Michelle, and I live in Baton Rouge. I'm joining this site because I LOVE CORGIS. I work at a pet store, and since the first day I started working there and saw their picture on a magazine, I fell in love. Now 6 years later, I have raised 2 corgis and still look up pictures and run to the front of the retail store I work at when I see one come through the door. Working with dogs on a daily basis, I have not come across any other breed that I enjoy as much as the corgi personality. I just love it!
About My Corgi(s):
I just added a second addition to my corgi family. So now I have Lexie, who is 2 years old, and Abby who is my new puppy. Lexie is great, very intelligent, motivated for food (like most corgis), and witty. She is my true best friend. We are having a blast raising Abby. I was apprehensive at first about getting another dog but it has turned out for the best. The two of them really get along great! On a sadder note, my very first corgi, Eddie, was also my best friend. I had him until he was 2 years old and then went on a 3 week vacation. During that time he ran away from the person that was keeping him and never returned. It broke my heart and I will never forget him and what a loyal companion he was to me.
I can't believe I found TWO other corgi owners in Louisiana. And in Baton Rouge, for that matter! Lexie is gorgeous, and they truly are unlike any other dogs. :)
I was just looking at my pictures again...all of them except, buster walking down by the sea are edited and enhanced. If you look at them again, you'll see the difference. The colours pop on the edited ones. I hope you get into it becuase I would love to know someone else who does this to exchange tips with.
Hi, I just saw you comments. No, I'm not a photographer. I got my 1st camera, digital, at Xmas. It is a Canon Digital Elph SD1000. It is a point and shoot (about $230.00 Canadian). I got interested in taking pictures and watch a photowebsite everyday and read critiques as to what makes a great picture. I have been trying to learn on my own....I have a long way to go. I found some websites which offer free programs. I used 2 to edit my pictures. It is a lot of fun. Do you have a digital camera? Do you do any editing? Also, my videos are from my camera....don't really know what I'm doing too much. If you want to know more, just ask.
