About My Corgi(s):
Buddy is 8 years old. He is a tri with floppy tips to his ears. He loves playing with frisbees and running in the sand. He was diagnosed with Addison's disease two years ago and although he has to have medicine every day, he is pretty healthy. Chase is our 7 year old red & white and he is HUGE for a Pembroke! He is really long and has very large ears. Chasie is my playful one. He will let you throw a tennis ball forever. Cooper is our new Cardi baby. He is a beautiful blue-eyed Blue merle pup. He is absolutely adorable!!! He is very playful and seems like his is going to be quite the talker!
I have:
Both Pembroke and Cardigan

Help with ears

Posted on November 8, 2011 at 2:36pm 7 Comments

Cooper is now 18 weeks old and his ears are still not standing properly. We have tried taping them but he keeps getting the tape off. Short of putting a cone on him, I don’t know how to keep the tape on. Am I too late? With Buddy and Chase, their ears were up long before now. He is absolutely adorable no matter what but I think his floppy ears take away from the Corgi look. Any suggestions???? Thanks :)

Cooper screams all night in his crate. Not just barking or whining – his is screaming. I imagine he does this when he is in the crate during the daytime too. We have tried everything I can think of. We tried a soft crate right next to my side of the bed with the opening on…

Socializing a middle-aged Corgi

Posted on August 18, 2011 at 6:53pm 8 Comments

We took Buddy and Chase to our local dog park this afternoon. We don’t do this often; in fact, it has been quite a long time since we took them to a park to roam free. This is probably why we are having a problem. Buddy (8yrs old) was socialized a lot as a puppy and he could really care less about other dogs. He will go up and sniff them but will lose interest quickly. Chase (7yrs old) is another story. He didn’t get socialized much as a pup. He is pretty good with other dogs about his size…
