Passing along an article on toxic cocoa mulch which was sent to me:
Please tell every dog or cat owner you know. Even if you don’t have a pet, please pass this to those who do. Over the weekend, the doting owner of two young lab mixes purchased Cocoa Mulch from Target to use in their garden. The dogs loved the way it smelled and it was advertised to keep cats away from their garden. Their dog (Calypso) decided the mulch smelled good enough to…

I am SO sorry that it took me this long to reply to you. I am not "techie" and don't do any social media, so am not in the mindset of checking for friend requests. We were gone for much of early summer and came back to a totally overgrown yard and had to get that and the house into shape for round two of summer trips. We did find a puppy and brought her home over Labor Day. She is now 6 month old and is getting sassy. Not horrid, but not the sweet little bundle of joy anymore. Bratty teenager, I guess. Time to nip that in the bud! She was too little for the picnic this past summer, but we hope to get there in 2017. I tell everyone I meet who has a corgi or who is interested in getting a corgi about the picnic, even in years when we didn't go.
I met a woman named Bren today while walking with Wynne. She said she had just seen Thor & Kallie just a little bit before us. Small world. Bren has no Corgi yet, but hopes to get one in the future. She attended CORGI-CON this year just to check them out.

I told everyone that I could about the Wisconsin Picnic, especially the people from Chicago. I thought the same as you. If they will drive all the way to Champaign, they might drive to Wisconsin as well.

I had a German Shepherd that was terrified of thunder, so I understand everyone leaving when it started. Then the weather was fine for a while after everyone took off. Jim and I had everything packed up and were ready to leave when about 7 more Corgis showed up all of a sudden. At least 3 of these people told me that they were from the Chicago area. They told me that the traffic was so bad on 57 because it was only one lane and there were many cars traveling to the Uof I graduation. I felt bad that there were so few Corgis for their dogs to play with. Probably 1/2 hour to an hour later it stared POURING! We all took cover in our cars and then left around 3:30. I know they were disappointed. I hope they will give us another chance next year. Next year will be the 5th annual CORGI-CON. I hope the weather is good and we get a huge crowd.
Loved visiting with your family. See you in Wisconsin if the weather is good that day.

We will see you Saturday at the Wisconsin Corgi Picnic!
The weather should be great!

Stephanie,
I sent an E-mail to Kevin and a note on MyCorgi. I have had no reply, but I am not sure I have a current E-mail for him and I have noticed that he does not comment much on MyCorgi.
I want to know if he is interested in some of my old Corgi T-shirts and a Corgi hoodie. In the last 22 months I have lost 125 pounds, so I have lots of clothes I am giving to Goodwill, etc. I would like to find someone who WANTS the Corgi shirts rather than have them sit at Goodwill. I thought of Kevin. Do you think he would be interested? I plan to bring the items to CORGI-CON. I thought I would offer them first to him. Then give Charles from the Corgi Fun Days a chance at them. Then I will just put them out on a table to let anyone have them.
If you get this comment, please ask Kevin if he is interested in my hand me downs.
See you Saturday!
Lisa
