I have owned Pems for about 18 yrs. now. I am very attached to them. I fell in love with the breed while working in sales and marketing for a well-known Polo Club outside of chicago. I
Elizabeth, teddy and leopold are about to turn 4 yrs. next month. they are all from different breeders. the two males love to bug ea. other. the female is a little spitfire yet a cuddley little bunny. I lost two Fluffies in 2004. They were amazing and will always be missed. I can't imagine our lives without a Pem!!

This a response to the comment you made on our page about the photo with Berkeley on the beach. We apologize for the late response, we've been very busy :).
Berkeley at first did have a small sense of staying with us (considering they are herding dogs) and tried to keep us in the pack. Occassionally though he would go running off randomly, either very far ahead or behind. I suppose we reinforced the idea of staying with us through treats when he stays by our side, and really just creating a friendly environment with him.
Unfortunately, we only have one corgi, so we don't really have experience with corgis in a group. Just try to use some helpful instigators, teach all of your dogs how to stay and come (Berkeley still has trouble with come) and you should be fine. I do believe that a bit of freedom is very much encouraged on the beach when they are off the leash, but if you find they are taking advantage, don't be afraid to put them back on the leash, and have some fun that way until they calm down.
