Recent vet visit made us realize how negligent we have been in taking care of Cookie's teeth. Has anyone used a enzymatic spray for dog teeth?

Just when she was starting to feel better, Cookie licked the top of her cast/splint and compressed it, to the point that we could see her staples. So,we had to get her a Buster Collar to keep her from licking her leg. Now, she doesn't know what to think!

The surgical vet called late this afternoon and the surgery went as planned. We will pick Cookie up late tomorrow afternoon.

Cookie not only needs her ACL fixed, but she has a torn meniscus, too, so surgery is highly recommended and the surgeon we saw was a sweet doctor who calmed our fear for a difficult recovery process. Thanks to all of the support we have had.

Just got back from the vet...Cookie tore her ACL, on Wednesday morning. She must have been jumping up a tree chasing squirrels or birds. I am bummed....we go to the surgeon Monday morning for a consult, but our vet said it will cost $1500-$2000. We don't need that right now, and now that I read some of the posts, this is not uncommon and could happen again and could require physical therapy...Judi
